Howdy. It's my first time building a PC. I think I've created the best one for me but would like some feedback. It is important to know that I will use this PC mostly for gaming. I don't play many high GigaByte games. The biggest game I play is BeamNG. I plan to edit videos on it for my YouTube channel. Furthermore, I might stream a game or two. I don't care about the LED lights being colorful all I care is that it works and is a nice PC. Please let me know if this build looks good. I don't want to spend big bucks and be disappointed by what I get.

Also, when you order windows to put on your computer does it come with a USB or CD and does it come with a license key?
No
How do you get a license key then?
Do u need 14700K for productivity?
I've been using a potato for a while I really don't but do.
So some productivity?
so something like this?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower
It's not on an dead platform
does that give me just the key or does that also give me windows 11
MUCH more power efficient
You have to download the ISO from Microsoft
Ahh.
It's free
I know how to do that great!
He said he was looking into some video editing
what slot on pc builder would that be in?
Some
7800X3D is fine for some video editing
For modest editing
I'm going with intel because I am tired of ryzen.
What?
Intel has had more issues the then AMD, like the problem with E cores and unstablety because of power drew
Hmm interesting.
Furnace room
Space heater
@high fern they are also on a dead platform
No upgrading to 15th Gen
Unless you get a new motherboard
So ryzen processor is better than intel for what I'm using it for?
Yes
For modest editing
And gaming
And not being a space heater
And more expensive
Altho for heavy editing 14700K smokes 7800X3D
Slightly better for upgradability: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PDKCWt
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Lian Li LANCOOL 216 ATX Mid Tower
O he needs a monitor
If AM4 was anything to by then it's alot more upgradeable
hmm. I think I will stick with the intel processor despite the potential problems.

HOW THE HELL IS THE XTX 850

Why?
@high fern there were alot of problems with intel CPUs 13/14 gen
Like a few days ago
Well, it's not like I play games that are crazy difficult to run.
Because of power drew
Then get 7600
Or 7500F
It’s less upgradable
What discourages me is this. Could you explain this?
It’s a synthetic
It’s a synthetic
I don't understand sorry. I'm new to PC building.
Not accurate to gaming performance

AMD Ryzen 5 7600: ht...
Also not even necessarily accurate to workstation performance
They are very inaccurate
Basically I need to ask a few questions.
- would the intel work as a great desktop?
- would it be able to run BeamNG at max graphics
- would it dominate video editing?
It would be a great space heater
Is your main goal video editing power
It's really 50% editing and 50% playing low quality video games
I'm not like most people that play gta and other big games
You mind a space heater?
I could care less about the temp as long as it doesn't harm anything
It would make your room hotter
Alright. Can you list your suggestions just to recap? I'll look into them.
7800 X3D with a modest b659(E) motherboard and a midrange cooler
Cheaper too
How much of a performance difference would that make for a game called War Brokers? You can look it up on steam.
So in general your suggestion would elevate gaming while lowering editing power slightly?
It would also be cheaper?
I don't know that game but the performance difference would probably be pretty big
In a positive way right?
Yeah
so something like this?
should I change the power supply lower to compensate?
Like this?
I talked with a friend and they said "I would go slightly higher end to get some better support on the 7800x3d" so I changed the 650 for a x670
Ok wait
I read through this thread
And saw some seriously weird stuff
Are you going to be mainly gaming?
And occasionally light video stuff
Mainly gaming and editing. The editing will be moderate. I wouldn't call it light.
And on premier pro?
Kdenlive. I'm not spending pro money
Hmm I'd go something different then. Send the build link
Ah ok
Also what country
Here is the build.
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/DidYouGetSniped/saved/vqQgP6
AMD Alternative - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Correct
Ok
White color scheme or doesn't matter
Black is cheaper and better performance
I could care less about the look. If I can get it plain without lights for better performance I'll do it.
Sup
2 options
- https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YhXCWt mainly built for productivity and has good gaming performance
2.https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xRtV9c
Mainly gaming and light productivity. The other will destroy this in any rendering
Part List - Intel Core i7-14700K, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
Does not matter
Usually comes factory updated
Or you can do it yourself in 5 mind
Part List - Intel Core i7-14700K, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
This good mobo too
I think I'll stick with what I currently have.
Why?
@uneven fossil I think got what I wanted.
You have cl32 ram, my case is better, so is my powersupply
You have 4070
I have 4080 super
It's like 3x as powerful
What?
Do you play a lot of multi GB games?
I'm dumb
Wdym?
Games that have big file size
Of course
See, I don't beamng is practically it.
Msfs and both forza
That doesn't matter tho
4080super is gonna get like 2-3x fps the 4070 would
Your moving up a whole class of cards
More like 3 classes
4070 S 4070 ti 4070 ti S
And normal 4080
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
With what I currently have can I run BeamNG max settings and get 100fps?
No
Ti super is not worth it now that 4080 is 1000
50-60 ish
Ti super is 780
Fps
Ok
So in a perfect world
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
U would buy this
Pretty much fastest gaming system in world next to 4090
7900 XT is still better tho at 680
But nvidia brand bias
Also video production
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
Ofc
But not kden
Yall didn't include my monitor btw
I did
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
My whole list is better
Yeah
Your aio is very bad
The one in your list
aio? (sorry I'm new to pc building)
Cooler
It's not good performance, 240mm radiator and has tons of reliability issues
The deepcool is good one I have sent
Likewise
The ram
Am5 doesn't do well and is unstable above 6000mhz
ryzen 7000
Yeah
so a 650 is fine?
Ryzen 7000 doesn't like 6400mhz. It can run it but kinda pointless then good cl30363676 kit
Oh wait swap cooler
To deepcool ls720 se
The corsair one is old and 240mm only
Also those units have reliability issues
@cosmic cloak is right
wouldn't that be a downgrade?
No
Ryzen 7000 has stability issues above 6000mhz
And case
Phanteks xt pro ultra
Is cheaper and comes with argb fans
9000D is fine too ig
Don't know shit about moniter
Ah it's ok
Hold on let me change it. 😅
Here want me to send a fixed list?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
Just click edit list in top corner and bam. This is now your list. (, it will ovewrite the other one)
This good?
Swap moniter to the scepter one. It's brighter and cheaper
But otherwise yah it's looking solid 👍
Is it daisy chained? Do I have to worry about it?
What? What's daisy chained
