Sup y'all, a bit torn and in need of some help.

GPU is in need of an upgrade, currently on an RTX 2070 Super, but been playing more demanding newer titles recently, and its starting to show its age, although I also play a few shooters here and there (Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, etc), so I also need something that can push 170fps at 1440p, ideally on higher settings.
I also play VR titles with a vive pro, so the 16gb of VRAM is kind a essential.

Current specs:
Ryzen 7 5800x3D
Palit RTX 2070 Super Jetstream 8GB
32Gb DDR4 CL16 RAM

I do not want to buy an Nvidia card, as their pricing this generation is daylight robbery.

Budget of around £550, my options are:
2nd Hand RX 6950XT (I cant find them new at a reasonable price anywhere)
RX 7800XT
RX 7900 GRE (Possibly, unsure if the price to performance difference is worth it)

I was leaning more towards the 7800xt, as I've found a good deal on a white sapphire nitro model for £480, but I'd like to get some input first before I make any big decisions.

Any help/advice appreciated. 🙂

there's an xfk model on scan and ebuyer for £460

#

but yeah it seems like the best upgrade around that budget

#

i don't reckon it's worth 80 quid extra for the gre given the performance is basically the same out of the box and like 10-15% faster overclocked

# karmic mantle yeah

tempting, though I have found an XFX model 7900 GRE for £520, which is within budget.
