#So can anybody help me upgrade my pc
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
the best you can upgrade to is a 9900k which is a much bigger cost than it's worth
and basically anything you upgrade your gpu to is gonna be bottlenecked by your cpu anyway
you're probably better off keeping the 5700 xt and upgrading cpu, motherboard and ram rather than getting a new gpu
unless you're playing singleplayer games at 1440p that put a lot of load on the gpu
Sell and restart
:(
then what should y build
my price range is 1500 to maybe 2000
and y use my pc for gaming and recording
well im just gonna go to sleep so ill check response tommorow
ill build a pc tho and you tell me waht to change
is this a solid setup?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Radeon RX 7700 XT, be quiet! Pure Base 500DX ATX Mid Tower
well time to sleep see ya
Which one is it
This is my current setup
And this is the one y made bc my pc cant be upgraded no more
You may change it if there bad parts selections
It can it’s just smarter and honestly safer to restart
So building a new pc is better than upgrading mine?
Yeah. I’d sell the old one
Do y keep my old HDD and ssd until y can transfer the data
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7900 GRE, Montech AIR 903 BASE ATX Mid Tower
Yeah that’s fine
Is this for if y change my mind on the one y have?
building a brand new pc with am4 is not really a good idea
the platform's been dead a year, and the 7600 is faster than the 5800x anyway
Its still pretty solid
The build is what I’d do for 1440p gaming around $1300
yeah but if you're building a new pc anyway
if the 7800xt is much cheaper than the 7900gre it's probably worth going for instead
regional pricing though
About $50
I mean it’s ok
And what would you change from this build
bro
u good in the mind?
why would u spend like 200 on an operating system
use G2A
u can get an operating system for way less
i mean I don't know which currency ur using but either way it will be way cheaper
just remove ur operating system
what currency r u using
Well y already have a 1440p monitor
the 31" is soo not worth it btw
right
u gonna sell that or what
Nah
that would be a very crusty monitor
Had it since y was 2
Use to watch looney toons on it
And y still use it as my 2nd monitor
🫣
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7700 XT, NZXT H6 Flow ATX Mid Tower
check this out
@vocal bough helped me out for this
plus
if ur gonna get a 24" monitor
then at least get a G24F
that's probably ur best choice of a 24" monitor
if ur gonna rebuild ur pc
r u gonna keep ur mouse and keyboard or not
and what r u gonna use this for
like general gaming or like watching stuff or like heavy gaming
and the currency
that depends are you having problems with it ?
Back phone died
Its about to die again so ill brb
ok then
if you're happy with the performance you're getting then there's no point spending money on upgrading
Back
What thing?
pls
my secondary monitor is 1280x1280@60hz lol
Ill use it for mainly gaming and some recording
for this
i would recommend 24" G24F monitor
also my main monitor is a sony bravia tv from 2008, the actual tv functionality of which doesn't work so i got it for free
And a weekly wage in were y live is 500$ a week
dam
they have a 1440p 165hz monitor already
that's cool
secondary monitors don't need to be fancy
yeah but they already have a 1440p165 monitor
o ye true
and quite a nice one at that
this is his part lost tho
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Radeon RX 7700 XT, be quiet! Pure Base 500DX ATX Mid Tower
Yeah
so yeah keep the monitors you already have
Thats the pc y choose
please go am5 or at least lga1700
This is my real pc
also you don't need an aio with an amd cpu
exactly
so yeah maybe something like this, if you can go for a 6800, 6800xt or 7800xt that would be better
Idk how to change it so it heats up my cpu
do you use obs ?
This is my real pc
Part List - Intel Core i5-8600K, Radeon RX 5700 XT, be quiet! Pure Base 500 FX ATX Mid Tower
bro you already have a 240mm aio
Ill brb ok gotta charge my phone
btw
how do u change the font of ur name like thwt
that*
fax
Back
oh also what country are you actually in
because regional pricing does make a really big difference in terms of what products are best
Y live in puerto rico
as an example there's a motherboard that's a really great deal in the us but costs twice as much in australia
do you get normal amazon / newegg pricing on things ?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VpM9dH would these be good or would it be too much a stretch on budget ?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7800 XT
i'm ignoring storage and case and stuff because the stuff you already have should be fine
it's pretty tricky because the 5700 xt is actually still a really good gpu
but yeah it's definitely falling off at 1440p
otherwise i'd say probably just keep the gpu and get a nice fast ssd with lots of space so you don't have to run your games off those hard drives
@vivid ivy can u get 7500F CPU New from AliExpress?
Sorry y was building a pc
Here what y choose from your guys recomendations
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 7600, be quiet! Pure Base 500DX ATX Mid Tower
Wait
that motherboard's really bad btw
also you shouldn't need new monitors, the ones you have are great
That motherboard is ass
also the rx 7600 wouldn't really be an upgrade from the 5700 xt
You spent all the budget on everything but the GPU
@vivid ivy
It's the same performance
Like the same
exactly
What's the budget?
so this one's quite a way over
Sell off the old pc for more money
5700 XT easily sells for 150$
The is alot of demand for that GPU so it won't take long to sell
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vKgGgB something like this if you sell the gpu, as well as the old motherboard and cpu and ram could be good
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7800 XT, be quiet! Pure Base 500 FX ATX Mid Tower
in puerto rico tho
probably not so much
they don't even sell well here, in nz
they go for like $150-200nz, where a 6600 does $350 easy
true
??? What the hell is that ram
And why hard drive?
cheap and probably works (:
Just stop talking
also the storage i left alone, they already have it
GN
Gn
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6800, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
that gpu won't get any airflow
True maybe change the case
something atx ideally
im awake now
but my budget is 1500-2000
ill make on for my self
Y think i did y pretty good job
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7700 XT, Montech X3 Mesh ATX Mid Tower
Anyone?
yeah that's pretty good, i would try push for a faster gpu though
something like a 7800xt/gre or 4070
if you go for an asrock b650 livemixer as the motherboard that nets you an extra $50
Well that should last me awhile
And if am5 becomes like am4 ill dont have to worry much on future proofing it
Plus my pc can run 1440p in some games high and in other medium or low
But y use RSR of FSR if it available on it
the 7800xt though would absolutely crush on ultra settings for years to come
(hopefully)
Yeah so is it solid?
Y wanted to not include the HDD and SSD
Cus y alr have one in my pc
The ssd is for the os drivers software and other important stuff
The first HDD is for games and the second one is for video recording
And i dont buy many AAA games so im good
i will say running games off the ssd does make the experience quite a bit nicer
even games as old as portal 2 will run faster on an ssd than a hard drive with everything else the same
Yeah my dad say that HDD will and still be a reliable source of storage
And never had a issues with a HDD
For now
And im thinking of just keeping my old AIO
Cuz im impress it still alive and not broken after 5 years
This will be my pc if y keep my old storage and monitor plus the AIO
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7700 XT, Montech X3 Mesh ATX Mid Tower
Or do y keep it so when y sell my pc y can get more money
it's reliable but very slow
Meh
it depends on what the second hand market is like over there
Y can get like a 10tb hdd for like 500 dollars
My dad literally has a 10tb hdd for games
this is pretty good but i would suggest going up to a 7800xt or 6800xt if you can afford it
And a 1tb ssd for software
But if y do get that pc and only keep my storage and monitors what problems may y encounter or could encounter
there shouldn't be too many issues, i will reccommend reinstalling windows though
because if you have a windows install with intel chipset drivers it kind of breaks with an amd cpu
Does my key get deactivated?
it shouldn't but the activation thing is very random
And the driver for the gpu will auto recognize the new gpu or do y reinstall the driver
if you reinstall windows it'll get the right drivers and stuff for you anyway
So ill still keep my old games and videos plus software for the new pc?
you will need to move anything you don't want to lose onto the hard drives, then remove them from the system before you reinstall windows
Oh ok
if you have more than one drive in the system when you install windows it gets really confused and sometimes splits the install over multiple drives, which becomes a problem if any of them fail or get removed / upgraded
Of what?
The cpu cooler
Or ill maybe keep my old AIO
Or just sell it with my old pc
I'm sorry but that list sucks
:(
This
What the new budget?
About 1500 to 2000
And y want it for gaming and recording
That can last me along time like my current pc
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 GRE, Fractal Design Pop Air RGB ATX Mid Tower
@vivid ivy
Or just get the build I sent which is going to perform the same and is $1300
Ok
Which one?
^
The cpu and CPu cooler
What about them
Im at school so ill be replying sometimes ok
It won't make a difference in performance.
In CPU Bound games it will and 7800X3D will age better
7600 is a great cpu
Not for this budget tho
There's going to be newer am5 Cpu's that are better.
True
So 7600 or 7800X3D
For the cpu
But I have a feeling this guy needs to save the money
reading the beginning of the thread.
I see
Ok well CPU is decided 7600 or 7800X3D
@brittle sparrow what about motherboard?
I think it's worth getting a high end motherboard
both your board and my board are good boards.
True
one has wifi one doesn't
Asrock cooking with new motherboard
Yeahh but it only matters if they need wifi
Most people do
those can suck
Sometimes
Lol I had at problem
Ok
Ok?
Maybe try putting the cable on the ceiling
Alr did that, they ate the base of it
Im jus gonna start a new post a 1pm bc this one is getting me confuse
