#what psu should i get for this build
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
people use US PCPP all the time when they don't live there. Do you?
im using usd
Are you OK with losing all CPU overclocking/undervolting support?
no
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6750 XT, SAMA IM01 MicroATX Mini Tower
There you go 🙂
A620 has all of that disabled. You'd need B650.
a620 only ram oc
Yes, RAM XMP/EXPO is fine but PBO is removed entirely.
are there any good cheap ones
Could just do what I sent
im trying to keep the price around 900
Not that cheap but cheap, yes.
Oh so it’s to much
yea
How about a 7500f? It’s 130
isnt that am4 platform tho
The ram had worse timing
oh yea i dont need igpu
The RAM you had was fine. The difference in timings was essentially meaningless in the real world for an XMP/EXPO set and forget build.
unless its unstable
then pain
It’s like $4 more for something that’s more stable and will help with your 1% lows just a little bit
RM850x is fantastic and will last you a while, but in the current system is more than you need.. though that sale its on almost makes it worth it.
is that a motherboard
im pretty new
What else would you get
It’s the psu
oh
There’s not many good 750 watt options cheaper
"More stable" is essentially a baseless claim. The minor differences in primary timings will most certainly not be something you're going to notice in game.
The sale its on is fantastic as is, if it wasn't on sale money could be saved with something else though.
I’ve ran tests and looked at data on a number of systems. You get better 1% lows with these timings and pricing is essentially the same
No offence, but I don't believe you. But it doesn't matter, both kits are cheap.

are there any other options for psus in case that sale ends
i wont be buying this for a few months
Then in a few months come back here and make an entirely new list.
If you're doing that, we're all wasting our time.
Prices will have all changed and better options will be available.
fair ig
is it okay to cheap out on fans
ive seen a few people reccomend some 13$ 3 pacj
Cheap out as in Arctic P12 PWM's, sure. Cheap out as in Molex powered static RPM crap, no.
ARCTIC, a leading manufacturer of low-noise PC coolers and components, initiated and continues to shape the trend towards quiet cooling systems. In addition to an extensive range of CPU coolers and fans, ARCTIC produces high-quality monitor arms, wall mounts, thermal paste as well as thermal pads...
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KgxJQP so something like this?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6750 XT, SAMA IM01 MicroATX Mini Tower
i need thinner since the case is teeny
Probably meant 3-Pack Thermalright TL-C12C but unlikely to be on sale that much longer.
SAMA IM01 can fit standard ~25mm thick fans no problem, its not that small
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6750 XT, SAMA IM01 MicroATX Mini Tower
even under the gpu?
You have a two slot card selected, yes.
thanks
i would never be able to find some of this info so talking to people helps
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YkngjH would you say this is good to settle on
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6750 XT, SAMA IM01 MicroATX Mini Tower
the motherboard needs to be changed like we said before but ill do that later
First step in visualizing things is simply looking at existing builds. PCPP's Completed Builds section allows you to pick a case then look at full parts lists and builds in that case other people have done.
You can even select a GPU and narrow down builds with that case and that GPU, for example.
how do i do that
& play with the filters in each component
Or if its easier, just findyour case on PCPP then scroll down to "Builds using this part"
all the way at the bottom
A visual aid is very helpful
thanks for the help
And yeah that build is fine just ask again right before purchase if you still need help, likely different things will be on sale
speaking of, I submitted my build to PCPP but its ah.. changed a bunch since then
Probably just the PSU & fans but could get lucky with a higher dollar item.
