I'm not done lol coming is a monoblock for my mobo, a block for my gpu, thick boi bottom rad, new top rad and I'll be replacing the ql fans

Love the steam deck

proper topaz
#

I need to get off sets not happy with the runs at all yet but this is at least up and running now

#

I plan on putting in a thick bottom rad and changing the ql fans out

proper topaz
bold moth
#

Love the distro plate

#

Looks amazing!

proper topaz
#

Thanks

proper topaz
#

a small update I had to get a new rgb splitter so I can have all but my ram controlled through my copro:

proper topaz
bold moth
#

Love it

#

Not a huge fan of the cpu block piping tho

proper topaz
#

It’s going to get fixed

#

Along with the gpu

#

3 offset fittings should sort it

proper topaz
#

a bit much?

raw smelt
#

Dang

proper topaz
#

4.65 all core

bold moth
#

sheesh

raw smelt
#

wow. ryzen 7000 was a big change. 5.7 out of the box right?

bold moth
#

yeah

raw smelt
#

oh wait, thats not all core

#

pbo could probably do that easily though

bold moth
#

all core is where amd can just shame intel and they cant do anything

raw smelt
#

lmao

proper topaz
#

ya I'm just dialing it in

#

looks like -9 is as far as I can go on the offset

#

I've tried dialing in the voltage but if I don't leave it on auto it'll just hard crash

#

still 16 cores 4.65ghz

raw smelt
#

whats the power usage

proper topaz
#

sec I'll do a run

#

this is where ltt needs a voice / streaming channel

bold moth
#

I really wish they did

proper topaz
#

anyway sec firing up hwinfo and cinebence

bold moth
proper topaz
#

idle before run:

bold moth
bold moth
proper topaz
#

lol

#

I'm backing this off, she'll run 4.5 all core and idle at 30

#

this is me just pushing

#

there was an intel I had to chase down

#

cinebench before run:

bold moth
proper topaz
#

the m1 is like wtf

#

why its not even the right arch

#

waiting for things to warm up they stay around 87c

#

during the first pass doing a 9 min bench:

#

it usually takes about 3 min to fully render the scene

#

second pass finished this is during the third pass:

#

it peaks around 87.6c

#

test failed

proper topaz
#

New test:

#

result

proper topaz
#

Tomorrow I pull the trigger and order these fittings to fix my tube runs:

#

I'll be returning a few of the offsets I'll only need 3.

white lark
#

Is pretty, but I dislike the hardline color, and how not flat it is

#

I think the new offsets will fix that?

edgy glen
#

Lookin amazing!

proper topaz
#

As for the angles the offsets will fix that

#

The fluid is ekwb mystic fog also designed to refract light

white lark
#

Maybe get clear hardline and just the mystic fog?

#

I think doing both doesn’t get opaque results that look good

#

It does look fine but it could be better

proper topaz
#

no

#

I like frosted pmma

#

if I could get frosted borosilicate in the right OD then I'd go with it instead of pmma

proper topaz
#

new fittings arrive monday maybe sunday looking forward to getting the tube runs sorted out. After I get these fittings in I just have to get a thicker bottom rad and new fans then the build will be mostly done

proper topaz
#

new oc settings trying to get 4.625 ghz at 1.35v stable

#

damn didn't quite catch the intel

proper topaz
#

things did not go perfectly today.... but here's some pics:

#

had a fitting fail spectacularly:

#

So what's left:

  1. yell at ekwb about their shit fitting and get it rma'd.

  2. pick up another 14mm offset so I can fix the bottom gpu tube to match the top gpu tube.

  3. upgrade bottom rad to a thick rad

  4. replace my extensions with ekwb extensions to match the "ahem" girth of the ekwb fittings

  5. I've got burnt leds on 2 fans and 2 fans with dying bearings thinking about replaceing them with some lian - li lcd fans which should help cut down the wire mess in the back of my pc.

proper topaz
proper topaz
#

Finally

#

Fixed the bottom tube they aren’t like perfect but hell I’m not working with matrix 7 here

#

And filled

onyx geyser
proper topaz
#

going to have to find one that doesn't look horrible

#

that's using my camera lens brush

#

without the camera brush:

#

Well done

proper topaz
#

new rad came in

#

just waiting on my new fans / extension fittings.

raw smelt
#

That looks very thick

#

You better have some high static pressure fans

bold moth
raw smelt
#

lol

#

Thing is Soren isn’t willing to realize amd does have a good place in the market

proper topaz
#

more along the lines of intel / amd it matters not. They're a stones throw apart from eachother at this point. Nvidia just has no compitition when it comes to raw gpu.

bold moth
#

He often says nvidea and amd has no place

bold moth
#

Only thing you can argue between them is upgradability but pure power of CPU’s yes they are within rounding error amounts

proper topaz
#

ya, they'll very a bit on how they get there, I'd say right now amd is killing it with this scalable chiplett design and 3dvcache. Intell needs a rethink on this pcore ecore thing.

bold moth
#

Agreed

proper topaz
#

but ya more on the fans, I am so worried about these friggin lcd fans I'm about to go with.

#

but I kinda want to be done with corsair and icue

#

I need the daisy chain feature to cut down on wires.

#

also the lcd fans are 6pin powered instead of sata powered, the 6pin will be so much easier to wire manage.

bold moth
#

Only icue fans are the front ones of my 4000d whatever came with the rgb version of the case

proper topaz
#

I'm trying to keep everything within mobo ideally but that kinda limits the fan options a bit. So I'm thinking I'll give lian li a shot, with them I can at least cut down on wire clutter.

bold moth
#

Hm

#

Yeah the connecting is awesome

proper topaz
#

20 wires not including power / hubs, gets cut down to like 8ish for me

bold moth
#

Yikes

proper topaz
#

welp got some of my fans but I need to get some longer m3 screws

proper topaz
#

And here’s the part I dread

bold moth
#

The cables

onyx geyser
proper topaz
# bold moth The cables

the parts count that I'm removing keeps growing:

1 x fan power hub, 2x corsair rgb hubs, 1 x copro, 1 x psu sata power cable, 1 x 5 way drgb splitter, 10 old ql fans (20 wires).

installing:

10 x tl lcd fans (4 wires) 2 hubs, 1 x pcie to 2 6+2 pin power

#

only have the side fans in and I have to take them out and fix the top fan but here's a peak of my up coming theme:

proper topaz
#

Gpu bracket

#

Going to take a dremel to it and cut the excess length off

proper topaz
#

if I can get the argb working I can attach a splitter to it and hopefully drive my water blocks / distro plate from my tl hubs

proper topaz
#

I'm still waiting for the final 3 fans to come in (as well as the second hub). here's a bit of a preview:

proper topaz
#

New fans and 60mm bottom rad in

#

Doing the pressure test now

proper topaz
#

Fml still some work to do:

proper topaz
leaden sun
#

but i believe that the rads can be connected directly without any tubings needed

proper topaz
#

no

#

my distribution plate isn't matrix 7 compatible plus I don't like the look

leaden sun
#

oh i see

#

but that distro looks serious like one of the ek plates

#

anyways, cool build

proper topaz
#

first generation o11dxl ekwb plate, they weren't matrix 7 compatible

proper topaz
#

So things have changed a lot….

#

Here’s some pics of the build process

#

And the cable management at the back

white lark
#

You completely changed the water cooling?

proper topaz
#

oh ya

#

and the case

#

went from an o11dxl to a antec flux pro

#

hard line to soft tubing

#

I'm not quite done there's some tweaks to do still but I'm really liking the build

#

got the gpu block rgb working again

runic dew
proper topaz
#

Careful flushing your loop before running it, also could be hard to find don’t know the state of ekwb atm.

proper topaz
#

A small upgrade

white lark
#

They’re built for industrial use, so they’re gonna be loud

proper topaz
#

fan curve

#

and I know they're industrial fans I wanted the ingress protection on the bearings

proper topaz
proper topaz
#

I'd lose the bottom 120, and replace the 240mm (distro plate? flat res?) with the 360mm.

advantage would be a better lineup with the gpu ports, possibly easier fills (more fluid in the res = less power off, feed more water, power on).

disadvantage would be I'd lose the stepped look, and potentially the gpu sag solution I'm using breaks.

bold moth
#

I’d do it

proper topaz
#

I'm just kinda debating it, was an idea I had I think I've started treating this less of an overall build showcase and more as a long documentation of this crazyness lol.

proper topaz
#

It’s been a bit but here’s some new updates

proper topaz
white lark
#

Not a big fan of the graffiti style but otherwise it looks nice

proper topaz

its a theme build dude

white lark
#

Yeah I see that it’s just my opinion

proper topaz

So I got an upgrade
