Hi,

My current system is Ryzen 5 5600X, Gigabyte B550i, and RTX 2070 Super, and my PSU is 600W. I am trying to do a budget upgrade. I wonder if I can get a RTX 3070 without upgrading my PSU. Also, I am using a mini-ITX, Cooler Master NR200 case, so the card cannot be too big. I think most RTX 3070 could fit in. But I am worried the PSU may not support.

Thanks

since the 3070 can pull about 220-250w under load it would be best to upgrade to 700w psu

i would reccommend going higher but it'll probably be fine

It will work fine.

But I advise a 750W, incase you want to upgrade, or overclock.

but a 700w is good enough since he is on a budget

The problem is,

#

Mini ITX, if it's a bronze grade, the PSU would overheat.

#

So a 700-800W 80+ Gold.

#

I'll look for one later.

#

Fully modular, so cable management is easy.

Thanks.

My current PSU is Corsair SF600 Platinum Fully Modular Power Supply, Black https://amzn.asia/d/6oK9wq3

Does the efficiency grade like bronze or platinum make a big difference?

For example, if you have a bronze, it may cost twice as much to run as a Silver.

#

Gold and platinum doesn't have a big difference,

#

So 80+ 750W gold is perfect.

👍

also that case iirc has pretty good power supply airflow

You shouldn't get a 3070

Aim higher

yeah, Australia runs on 220-240V@50Hz. Lucky
