msi laptop gets no output on monitor

Hey my msi gt62vr dominator doesnt get any output i tried everything software wise and its still not outputting anything on the monitor.
The monitor detects something is plugged it but the laptop doesnt detect anything i tried a tv too.
What do i do

i can have a gpu not i a system and monitor still can pick it up if i connect the cable to that means not much

as far as i am aware you dont even need a hdmi connecter solderd to a board for it to see thats it pluged in by the monitor

thats not how it works

if the monitor sees some kind of power through the hdmi port it will assume something is plugged in

xd

its the same thing as when i plug my ps3 in unplugged from the wall it wont see it

but when i plug it in to the wall the monitor suddenly sees it

so the monitor is getting some kind of power signal from the laptop

but not reciving the right signal for video

so its not possible that the monitor can detect if something is plugged in into the hdmi port when its not powered
