Hey guys! was helping a friend out with his pc and he told me he damaged the first PCIE slot, i was wondering if we could just use the 2nd one with the same x16 lanes or not, the website says the mobo has 2 x16 pcie lanes but the manual says something else which is confusing, please help!

both manuals show the same thing
in blue are your 2 x16 slots and in red are your 4x1 slots
its just that the second slot electrically will run as a x4 not sure what kind of gpu you are using so may or may not be fine
Ahh i see, the gpu which will be used is a Zotac GTX 1070Ti
you are probably fine for the most part then. unless you are using a 4k monitor with very demanding new games. but its a 1070ti so im not expecting you to be doing that.
1080p/1440p should be fine
and its not like it wont work either, you will just see a framedrop if it does become a bottleneck
ah i see, my friend uses a 1080p monitor
thanks for the info man
