#Does the EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti fits in a HP Prodesk G1 600 SFF?

Context: Time ago I got a HP Prodesk G1 600 SFF and I did a couple of modifications, leading it to the following specs:

CPU: i5 4570
RAM: 12GB DDR3
Storage: 1T ( 500GB from HDD and 500GB from SSD)

(Nothing fancy, but since I don't use it for heavy stuff, it works for me)

The thing is that it does have an INSANE bottleneck since it stills uses only its integrated graphics (I mean, it's like 112mb of VRAM), and because of that, I wanted to buy a GPU, however, the case is really thin and small, so my choices are reduced.

I found out that the EVGA GTX 1050 ti runs well aside of a I5 4570 in terms of Bottleneck, and I'm sure it won't lead to a PSU problem since I saw a video with the LP version of the same GPU running in the same PC (which shares the same Watts consumption level) but I'm not actually sure if it fits in the case without problems and I couldn't find any example of it on the internet. So, I will be really grateful if anyone knows anything about it, thanks and gn :D

can you provide measurements of the available space?

#

Or just better pictures also

crikey that's a low profile slot

#

Can u show the back of the machine

Mhm

#

With all the ports

minor crescent
#

it's exactly this one

acoustic arrow
#

yeah no those are slim expansion slots

#

There are a couple low profile gpus you can get

#

um

minor crescent
#

Umm, considering the specs of this pc, which gpu would you recommend me? (if you dont mind btw)

errm

#

there's no harm in overspeccing an upgrade

#

But yes considering your cpu is a decade old you can't really go wrong

#

Like i think it's genuinely difficult to find a card that's slower bc they're all in e waste piles by now

#

What's ur budget

#

anything above the 1050 ti is good enough

#

you can get a low profile 4060 if you want

minor crescent
#

so, as long the PSU supports it, its LP, and is at least as powerful as a 1050 ti, that'll do?

acoustic arrow
#

Prettyyy much

#

Actually wait what about the psu

#

im trying to read the label on your first pic is it 240 watts??

minor crescent

#

oh

#

Okay

#

Bc i would be concerned that the 240 watt unit wouldn't have all the power cables for a dedicated graphics card

#

And just saying if i was the proud owner of this machine i would probably be replacing it piece by piece starting with the case

#

all ship of theseus-style

#

Starting with the case bc having a nonstandard layout really limits what diy parts you can install

#

right a case swap is pretty intense for a first timer

#

It's basically like building a whole computer

#

and taking apart a whole computer which is just building a computer in reverse so really it's like building two computers!!!!

#

But i think what youre doing is a good start

#

You've already tinkered with the ram and ssd hihi

#

That's more than 95% of people who use computers will ever do i think

#

that's also kinda how i started learning about computers, plucking apart and prodding and poking at a prebuilt
