p.s.
i would like to get 180 or greater fps on mc, rblx, gd, and gi
i already have an 12tb external storage, i will be using the 500gb ssd m.2 nvme to boot windows
ditch the 7900x
a 7800x3d gives more fps
and go for a used 6800xt for 350-400 is you can find it
it’s not showing up on pcpp
alright
tldr the 7k ryzen chips are fairly bad except the 7800x3d, and the 7600/x
7600/x are almost identical
the 7700 is basically a match for the 5800x3d with additional of avx512
7900 is slower than a 7800x3d and even a 7700 in gaming
7950 loses or matches to a 12900k
7950x3d has only 8 3d cores and has allocation issues in windows tasks
7900x3d is a scam with only 6 3d cores and loses to a 7800x3d which has 8 3d cores
7600 xt 16gb and 8gb are garbage
same goes for 4060/4060 ti
ebay has had a good selection of used cards ever since mining died off
150 for 1080ti
200 for 2080 super
300 for 2080ti
350-400 for 6800 xt
400-450 for 3080 12gb/3080ti
500 for 3090 or 600 for 3090ti or a 6950 xt
i see
i was planning to go to a computer store to buy those parts
otherwise the best cards to buy new would be the 7800 xt/4070 super for higher resolution/higher frame rates
im only going to be using 1080p
what does it essentially mean when there is an ####x ?
$1100 build time
$1150 - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
okay what kind of motherboard is that 💀
A goated one
👍
There’s a black one for a similar price but this one has more i/o
And better vrms
Also usb
idk what the fuck you’d use 14 usb ports for but
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
💀
Bro
They’re at 1080p
@pallid notch you think you’re gonna upgrade to 1440p at some point in the near future
well if he is splurging for a pc at this price @pallid notch better be upgrading to a 1440p monitor or if he is a competitive gamer then ig 1080p is enough if he is at a high refresh rate like 240hz+
They said they would only use 1080p so I made a 1080p build
Even 7800 XT is overkill tbh
i have a 1080p 180hz monitor, 1080p 75hz monitor, 1080p 60hz tv, and 768p 60hz monitor/tv
180hz
i mean
what if i want to watch something on my computer on my bed
ong
I wasn’t saying it was bad
so best option
but a ryzen 9 :<
but a rgb lcd water cooler
but rgb ram
but eatx mbd
but sam
but full tower
and i hope that the power supply doesn’t explode
when it draws double than what is required
what is ur main purpose for this pc @pallid notch
the 7800X3D is actually faster in gaming than the 7900
ong
the psu in their build is fine
but I should prob put 7800X3D in mine now that I think about it
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
@pallid notch should I put black mobo instead of funny orange one
also what parts do you already have from your old build
like can we reuse case and shit
again, they're on 1080p
no point in wasting money on a higher end gpu when it's not gonna do you any good
plus, it's nvidia which is even more of a waste of money
lemme look up benchmarks
7500f should be way more than enough for 180hz
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
also you have to get that 7500f off aliexpress, it's not sold in the US
the 7600/7600X are the same cpu but they cost $70 more
regular gaming
like not light but also not triple a
and productivity work
like autocad and inventor
it doesn’t?
not really
unless you're pulling up like
an entire fucking car
or something
i see
I mean, one of the best free cad programs literally runs in a browser
i would like nvidia
but my monitor has amd freesync so
not only that but eatx
you're gonna pay one of your kidneys for eatx
gsync and freesync are basically the same thing
its not that much higher
gsync is just nvidias proprietary version of freesync
so
freesync monitors work on nvidia
its enabled but don’t i also have to turn it on in the drivers or smth
and see if it goes down from 180 when you aren't moving your cursor
wha
hmm
at least on linux if you stop moving your mouse itll drop to like
48
idk if windows does the same
oh
thats crazy
I think 48 is the minimum refresh rate thats supported by my monitor
i have never seen anything under 60hz
intel core i5 3350
16gb ddr3
nvidia geforce gtx 660 ti
1tb hdd
3tb hdd
I meant stuff you can reuse
like case
other stuff you should sell ig
can prob fit a 4tb ssd into the budget if you want
or keep the hard drives
its a dell inspiron 660
keep the hard drive
😭
actually why did I put a 1tb ssd in
whatever
@pallid notch should I swap ssd to 500gb
would probably save like
$20
ssd speed doesn't affect game load times
ssds are just so fast now that literally any ssd is fine
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
i am going to forever remember that goofy mbd
lol
on god
should I put a black one in
its driving me insane the long i look at it
💀
fr but it’s good tho
