Switched from a gigabyte b650 aero motherboard to a msi b650 tomahawk
just finished the swap and 1st boot it’s having a solid red cpu and amber yellow light on the debug light and won’t start memory training.
Tried one to multiple sticks of ram in different slots, reseating cpu and cooler and also tried clearing cmos but to not avail.
Next step is to flash bios but don’t have a way to get it on a flash drive since I don’t have a computer right now lol

If you let it do the memory training what happens?

No instant debug light won’t even try to start posting

#

It’s been sitting here like that for 40 mins now just chilling lol

Try with only two sticks in the slot farthest from the cpu and in the slot second closest to the cpu

Check the motherboard for anything that might be shorting out on the back

#

Also when you reseated the cpu were there any bent pins on the socket?

serene yacht
#

No bent pins and it’s the same board size with the same standoff locations

#

Might just have to exchange the mb tomorrow

Do any of the slots work? Just test with one stick

#

But yeah it would be a good idea to exchange it

#

Bytw why did you change motherboards in the first place?

None of the slots aren’t working and changed mbs since the other mb is going to a different build
