Guys I was told to turn off idle for cpu power in power plan and task manager shows it at 100% all the time so I enabled idle power again. But this person is saying there is a bug in task manager it's not really 100% cpu usage
This is my cpu at 100% usage with idle power turned off in windows power plan settings. But that guy said task manager reporting that it's 100% is a bug but adrenaline even shows 100%
#100%CPU usage task manager bug?

you say task manager but this is hwinfo. do you have a screenshot of the cpu being at 100% usage in task manager with the proccesses tab showing?
I dont have that pic of task manager right now im on my phone but hwinfo is showing the high amount in mhz and then amd adrenaline even shows 100% cpu utilization. The guy in overclocking discord said the 100% in cpu usage is a bug in task manager and that to keep power idle turned off for cpu power to get best performance and no lag
high mhz doesent mean 100% usage, those are two totally different statistics
mhz is your speed while percent is your cpu load. its not the same thing
But if it's that high in mhz does it not mean it's running at 100%
im not aware of a task manager bug for 100% but it would be nice to see your proccesses to see if it is a bug or your just actually at 100%
I will show u when I'm back on my pc. But I'm pretty sure my only processes were edge and discord. For some reason it said "high" for edge and discord but when I turn idle power back on it says"light" or normal usage I forgot the term
high on task manager usually refers to power usage
Here it is
proccesses tab
sort by usage
Also is this true https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/4wk18f/disabling_cpu_idle_state_w10_harmful/
ok there
i just turned idle power disabled
now it is 100%
for cpu usage
do u see
now
wtf is libhwinfo
this is with idle power enabled
Can't read it properly since the picture is so low resolution but discord and adrenaline taking up all cpu?
Yeah idk why tf it came out like that
I will retake it hold on
Not really its this process called libhwinfo taking 60%
Having issues with shareX rn
So when you close kill hwinfo from task manager is it still at 100%?
Uhhhhh
Good question
I'm in bathroom rn
Lol
Yeah it's probably a bug then, if you sort by cpu it should show biggest on top.
