I have Wi-Fi but nothing want’s to load

#

Anyone?

Since the image implies you're using Brave Browser, I would try surfing the internet using another browser. If other browsers work, bingo bango, the problem only exists in Brave, at which point I would peruse Brave's support forums.

Description of the issue: I’m using Brave on my Macbook Air. Suddenly it stopped loading webpages. No page will load at all and it’s been like that for days. Websites load fine using Chrome and Safari. It even works perfectly on brave with tor. But “normal” Brave nothing at all. just this error No internet There is something wrong with the pro...

I can’t open anything

#

And it’s just my pc

#

I tried on my dad pc and it worked

#

Everything on this Wi-Fi work like my phone my dad mac and windows pc work

#

For some reason is just my pc

quiet rover
#

Great that you've narrowed it to just this PC, or rather, the web browser, since your ping test appears to be working fine. See my suggestion above about troubleshooting web browsers on your PC.

novel jungle
#

I’ll try that

#

But I can’t even open discord

Motherboard*

stark ember
novel jungle
#

I reinstalled windows last week

stark ember
#

try reinstalling the wifi drivers then

hearty nexus
#

this isnt wifi this is ethernet logo

#

this have nothing to do with proxy

#

this is just your ethernet that is missconfigured

#

try first to see if your internet rooter sees your pc

#

this might also show if you have a vpn on

novel jungle
#

Ok I didn’t explain everything my router sees my pc like @hearty nexus said but I can’t do anything I have a Wi-Fi card in so I tried that and it still doesn’t do nothing I ran commands to reset my dns to see but it just doesn’t do anything I reset my Ethernet and it still didn’t do anything I took out my Wi-Fi to see and my motherboard knows it has Ethernet but doesn’t read anything if that makes sense

quiet rover
#

again... based on your supplied screenshot / image have you checked to see if a proxy is configured? have you tested multiple web browsers? I see Brave in the screenshot, but you should also have Edge.

Check if you can modify the ad block settings of the extension; if you only use the proxy then Brave Shields should be good on the ad blocking front. Porridge

novel jungle
quiet rover
#

Did you find a proxy setting as noted in the BitDefender article?

novel jungle
#

Yea

#

But it’s not just my browser is everything else

quiet rover
#

Proxy settings for Windows (technically old school Internet Explorer) may impact anything else that also utilizes the same settings, hence why other things may be impacted.

Spotify, discord, brave,ea app, epic games,Activision none of these are opening

toxic gate
novel jungle
#

I tried that today and nothing

toxic gate
#

Are you sure you have wifi then

#

Could it be disabled in bios can that happen.

hearty nexus
#

if you already reset everything this is just coming from rooter

#

can you check if your computer got an ip adress?

#

like if the dhcp is working

novel jungle
novel jungle
hearty nexus
#

can you go on you rooter interface and watch if he is sending data to you computer

crystal oxide
#

Try to do a ping

novel jungle
#

netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset ipconfig /release ipconfig /flushdns

crystal oxide
#

like ping archlinux.org and see if there's a response (I think PowerShell also has that tool)

novel jungle
#

I’ve tried all

hearty nexus
crystal oxide
#

yeah, so that's why I am suggesting that

#

Does Windows have the ping command?

hearty nexus
novel jungle
#

Yea

hearty nexus
#

like idk if their is some sort of "forgot the device" button

crystal oxide
#

@novel jungle open Command prompt and type ping archlinux.org

novel jungle
#

Is gonna do the same thing it did for google

hearty nexus
crystal oxide
novel jungle
#

Yea

crystal oxide
#

ahh did you get a response?

hearty nexus
#

bro what how can this work

novel jungle
#

Same thing is works but nothing want to open

hearty nexus
#

what have you changed on you device to get this error 😭

crystal oxide
#

Did you try a different browser, I saw you were talking about edge beforehand, did you try with that?

hearty nexus
#

this make litteraly no sense

novel jungle
#

Idk bro it was out of nowhere

crystal oxide
#

RIP

hearty nexus
#

wait you said the ping was working?

#

do you have another device to put on your Ethernet port

novel jungle
#

Ik my friend is a network system administrator and he was confused too

crystal oxide
#

Because I know brave can sometimes be very weird, I've heard of other people having similar issues with it

novel jungle
hearty nexus
novel jungle
#

Nice

hearty nexus
crystal oxide
#

To clarify again:

  • ping google.com returned results (i.e. packets were received?)
  • Edge doesn't work?
novel jungle
hearty nexus
#

the components might be dead

novel jungle
#

That don’t work either

hearty nexus
#

or maybe drivers

novel jungle
novel jungle
crystal oxide
#

I assume it is Software, if you can ping say google or something

hearty nexus
#

or wifi bandwidh but I rly suck in this domain

novel jungle
#

I can ping google but can’t open it

crystal oxide
novel jungle
#

Same thing with edge

hearty nexus
#

might come from firewall maybe?

novel jungle
#

Is not my fire wall

hearty nexus
#

making guess since debuging like this is so fucking hard

crystal oxide
#

Then that gotta be some kinda firewall issue, but the confusing thing is that it works with ping, so DNS resolution works apparently, as well as reaching the Internet is possible

#

yeah right

novel jungle
#

I’ve never done nothing with my fire wall

hearty nexus
#

did you try deactivating windows firewall?

novel jungle
crystal oxide
#

Can you try ping janishutz.com to see if you can get to a website which definitely isn't in the OS's network / DNS cache?

hearty nexus
#

is cmd ping and google request the same?

novel jungle
#

Yea

hearty nexus
novel jungle
#

Is just ping and then a site you know

crystal oxide
#

I don't think it goes through the same part of the network stack if I am correct... well parts of it do

novel jungle
#
crystal oxide
#

CPU?

novel jungle
crystal oxide
#

Have you tried updating the BIOS? But before you do that, I have an interesting suggestion. Do you have a spare usb drive?

crystal oxide
#

That looks totally fine

novel jungle
hearty nexus
#

I think its 100% firewall problem

crystal oxide
#

That didn't solve it? Also, when reinstalling Windows, did you wipe the drive clean or did you just reinstall the base OS?

#

(so in the installer, did you select custom or keep data and reinstall?)

novel jungle
crystal oxide
#

So all your programs were gone and you did install the newest network driver from AsRock's website?

novel jungle
#

Yea

hearty nexus
#

without internet ?

crystal oxide
novel jungle
#

Literally I’ve tried everything 😭😭

crystal oxide
#

Okay, one last idea, try this: Do you have a spare USB drive?

novel jungle
#

Yea

hearty nexus
crystal oxide
hearty nexus
#

going straight to linux lol

crystal oxide
#

Then shut down your PC, boot into BIOS and set Endeavour as boot override and boot it up. Use Firefox and see if the issue persists

crystal oxide
novel jungle
#

The thing is I don’t want Linux

hearty nexus
#

trying on a differents os is a good debug way ngl

crystal oxide
#

This won't change anything about your OS, so nothing will be installed

hearty nexus
#

so we see if it rly come from pc config or hardware

novel jungle
#

I think is hardware

crystal oxide
#

Yeah and since Linux can live boot, it won't affect your data

#

So it's just as if you plugged in another drive and booted up from that

novel jungle
#

I don’t care about data since I use this pc for gaming

crystal oxide
crystal oxide
novel jungle
#

I gotta try that tmr everyone sleeping I can’t use my dad pc to download that rn

crystal oxide
#

Right

#

You may @crystal oxide once you're back and I'll come and help you

novel jungle
#

I got a new motherboard and ima take the one that I have now somewhere to see if they can find the issue

crystal oxide
#

alr

novel jungle
#

I’m going to try what you told me but I think is hardware

crystal oxide
#

It could be, but it very much sounds like Firewall to me

hearty nexus
novel jungle
#

So it was a hardware problem I did what you told me @crystal oxide and it didn’t work I put the new motherboard in a everything worked fine
