@summer furnace
XMP is for intel
by not giving any display, i mean it dosent even post. i dont hear any sounds or anything
my friend has amd, in his bios i just selected enable xmp profile or something
and it did change to 3200
amd's is AMD Memory Profile
isnt it docp or something?
yeah
why did that happen tho
can u explain?
another one of my friend got almost the same exact build but got a rx 5500xt, i also just clicked enable xmp profile and it worked like a charm
Let me see your mobo one sec
b550m aorus elite
this might help, try doing this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENiLBW2wt48
Dont set it more than 3200
In this video am gonna be showing how to easily enable (Extreme Memory Profile) X.M.P in order to overclock Your Ram to max Speed on a Gigabyte Motherboard B450 AORUS M, if you have any questions I'll be glad to answer them in the comments below. 😀

yeah use this
So I’m in bios
And I did the same thing as the tutorial way before
Lemme send u a pic
ok
So I’m here
I’ve selected 32.00 now if I do that, and when I did that before I needed to CMOs reset
So if I go anything higher than 29.33, my pc dosent post
wait, You didnt have to go to the advanced mode
its ok, just exit without saving and go in again
In easy mode now
ok, then click on advanced
Then
what do you see
are you using this one?
Yup
My bios is f15
yes
Done
when you start again just show me a picture
In this screen
go to tweaker tab
show me this without this popout menu
if it's not been said, but the 5600g is equal to an r5 3600 in cpu performance, due to the cache, and a 5600 has around a 20-25% increase in performance over the r5 3600
yeah its in 3200mhz
I thought 5600g is just 5500 but with igpu
no, the l3 cache is halfed and pcie 3.0 vs 4.0
5500 is a 5600g with the igpu disabled
U sure? That 29.33 means it’s in 2933
both still perform similar to an r5 3600
you trying to manually set the ram timings on that mobo?
Hmm, I think I should get a 5600 then if it’s that bad, I mean it didn’t work bad in anything but still half as much is kinda worrying me
Yuuup
Just selecting xmp sets it to 3200
Which causes pc not to boot
are you sure the ram is rated for 3200mhz?
It’s a Corsair vengeance 3200mhz
don't try to manually tune it if it's not going to run at xmp speeds, you having corsair ram is part of the reason why it's not running xmp stable
corsair ddr4, unless it's the dominators, should never be touched
and as you bout 2 single sticks of it @ 8gb each, you've got mixed dies
one of which is causing the instability which in turn is stopping it from booting
Hmm you mean ram is being mismatched?
How tho, I’ve literally bought 2x of same product. If you think this ram is a problem I can try asking my friend to borrow his ram
Which is the exact one as mine
Should I
you'd of been better getting a proper 16gb kit from teamgroup, silicon power, mushkkin, g.skill, etc
?
nope, get rid of the corsair ones and get an actual kit
I mean most of my build tutorial suggested Corsair
probably the sponsor of said tutorial
So then I’ll try selling these and buying some other, can u suggest some exact models at similar price
what country?
try one of the brands i said, or even kingston for the ram, just needs to be 3200 cl16, 6gb as a kit
3600 cl18 you mean?
because there wouldn't be a 3200 cl18
and no, 3600 cl18 performs the same as 3200 cl16
https://www.startech.com.bd/corsair-rgb-pro-sl-16gb-ddr4-3200mhz-ram-kit only kit I can find in stock that isn't a 1x16
also this kit is more likely I think to hit XMP speeds
it's suppose to yes, but i wouldn't hold my breath on it
