I sold my old computer to my brother. We just had to transplant mobo/cpu/ram to another case, put a new cooler on, install psu and gpu.
My board, cpu, ram were working THE SAME DAY.
Not only will it not output video, the fans don't spin and I don't see any lights.

I've changed the cmos battery, reseated the CPU, reseated RAM, triple checked psu connectors, and even jumped the power switch. I'm at a loss and my brother is very emotional about this. I don't know how to proceed from here. Please help me.

We tried a different power supply, troo

Based on what you're saying, it's possible that the mobo is shorting with the case causing the overcurrent protection to kick in from the PSU side preventing the system from booting.

If the system doesn't boot even on a non conductive surface, pull everything out except a single stick of RAM, CPU and cooler. Then try booting the system once again.
