I've been running an Auraflow 240 evo aio for almost a year now. It always made a rattle noise ,but whenever i was playing a damanding game (the rpm increased), the rattle would stop. My radiator is placed at the top of the case. Is it dangerous for my aio and cpu to continue using it like this? What causes the noise and how can i fix it? Thank you in advance!
#AIO Cooler Rattle Noise

It isn't very annoying and i suspenct that the noise actually comes from the fans beacuse when i increase the rpm on my aio fans, the rattle fades away (i might be very wrong)
if your pump speeds are too low it will rattle. best is to of course keep it at 100% but its loud sometimes. i have mine at 80% and then 100 after 60 degrees. you need to play with it. just dont make it really low like 60% or less
Well i have the pump Speed at 2100 rpm... I am using MSI Center to play with them
use percent if you dont know what the max rpm is.
i would assume 3000 so its pretty low already
Probably... I will check the rpm on an Auraflow 240
Could the fans be the reason of the rattle?
if there is a wire touching them or not tightened down they rattle with the case
@turbid lodge
Ohhh that i think explains it... I do have a wire that i think touches a blade... I will check and keep You updated with the result
Do You know the difference between pwm and dc?
Cause one has a diagram and the other has some %
dc is using voltage to control it meaning less fine control than pwm where it uses a pulse.
if you have pwm use that
Ok ok... I do have pwm on all fans. Thanks for helping me
Hi. Do You know how tight i should screw my aio fans?
@turbid lodge
It's the fans, the bearing suck.
That's what caused the noise.
The only way you could fix that is...
Well...
Swap it out.
But ideally, you should screw it until it stops.
Don't try cranking the screwdriver.
Just screw them in lightly until they stop.
Oh so i don't have to replace the aio? Just the fans?
An If yes are the deepcool rf120 fans good?
All the way until they stop you
Ok, i finally figured what is wrong. I screwed in the right fan and the Rattle stopped but now the left fan rattles and i have to screw that one aswell
Soo i really did not have time to troubleshoot my PC but from the following recording... Could u maybe give me a final thought. Does the noise come because of Air Bubbles or Fan Rattle against a wire/ not being screwed all the way. Also the rattle stops whenever playing games
