#4070 super asus rog strix - trying to install in PC, have no display

Sometimes the GPU won't work on the first boot and you'll have to use the iGPU
I had to use it for my first boot
okay, i'll run this tool and see what happens
Drivers should be installed with the card AFAIK
i installed the drivers for the new card but that's it, haven't removed the 1080's drivers yet. issue is, i can't boot up with any display when i put in the new card so either it has to work from the get go, or nothing at all
Do you have integrated graphics?
What CPU?
not sure about that, cpu is i7-8700
ddu seems kinda sketch, not sure what i'm doing here. might have to actually just bring this to a pc tech
i see the "clean and shutdown", which would be appropriate, however, i'm worried i won't have any display thereafter
It's not
Do that
ok, i am not booted in safe mode or anything
You'll have a display. These things (PCs) are super close to being completely idiot-proof
Just click reboot in safe mode after you open the program
It will do that for you
i don't see it on the program, however, after i clean and shutdown, i just install the drivers for the new card again and it should just "work" i imagine.
Yeah it should
I ran the program, plopped in the new card, still no display. Evidently I'll put my old card back, install the 4070 drivers, retry this method I'm assuming
Yes
working on that now, i think my bios is outdated also so this might be why
Updated bios, installed new drivers, plugged in card, still no display. Now I'm confused. Think this might be going to a tech now
