I think you know this but still make sure you always plug in your laptop charger while playing and set your windows power plan to high performance and if still nothing then play fortnite performance mode.

i dont know bout that, its just that the desktop he got, would clearly beat ur laptop
keep in mind that fortnite is quite of a cpu intensive aswell

im supposed to be averaging around 110 fps with medium settings but i get 40 fps with HORRIBLE stutters
and its always plugged in when gaming
and the powerplan is set to performance
even performance mode in fortnite i get like 70 fps with horrible stutters
such an awful experience
every other game runs very well
like fall guys, apex legends, minecraft
maybe fornite is just extremely unoptimized

You have a GTX 1650 mobile which is slightly less powerfull which explains a little fps decrease
but you seem to have a comepletely different issue

Fortnite just has issues, if other games are running well for you then it's probably not an issue with your PC. Maybe you can change some in game settings or try reinstalling fortnite
