Hey yall! I got this ancient PC Dell Inspiron 5680. I was planning on adding a RTX3050 into it. I think it has a 450W psu (i cannot check rn).
That should be enough right?

where are you getting these numbers from.. ? 50% faster -- are you meaning 50% more performance? from what I see, that is not the case at all. it is better, but not 50% better

1660ti vs 3050 -- i would rather have a gpu that is 4 gens newer.
I cannot find a 2060 atm for 100 used.
You did find the 5700XT for a good price but what about ... rtx minecraft?

lol i know (it is also not for me, i got a 4070ti). trying to help out a friend. i am pretty sure the budget of 100 is pretty solid and not possible to increase

I bought this from newegg and used it to try a DDR5 setup and I dislike DDR5 2 x 32 it slot. This card was cheap in price and when benchmarked it showed in the low end of performance compared to other cards.

yea i think 3050 seems pretty good considering all things. and it is paired with .. an i5 8600 i think? so it is already a little more than the cpu can do imo.

but we are keeping it at 1080p so it should be ok.

the entire pc i snagged for her for 100$. so "total build" cost is gonna be 200$ with a RTX 3050. not too bad
