# quasi yacht ye his new pc is all set upped

I'd recommend him to move the OS onto the NVME drive, as it will be much faster. You can clone the drive using software, but I'd recommend getting a fresh windows install on a USB stick and installing it to the NVME drive. Then once installed, connect up all the old storage devices and transfer any needed files (photos, games, docs...) from the drive with the old OS on to another. Then wipe the old OS drive. (If that makes sense)

Gotcha, no worries. So current state of the old PC is all storage is removed bar the new empty NVME drive?

Once installed, eject the USB, pop it into the old computer and run through the installer.

If he does change the boot order, once windows has installed, remove the USB stick, head back into BIOS and put the NVME drive as 1st in the boot order.

But yeah it's quite simple once you go through the installation, it walks you through everything 🙂
