The 4090 as a whole is not worth it money wise
Same with the 14900k
But they are the best
Yes
I assume
probably not that much, if at all
when does the new ones come out so the 4090 will get cheaper
A year
Not for another year prob
At least
that cooler is a lot more expensive…
the white one, does it really make a big difference?
How important is the extra thermal paste
Depends on how much extra your talking about, if you put too much you risk it going on the motherboard, and trust me, its not a good situation 💀
he means the extra syringe in the part list given to him
Oh
- extra cores
Do you think it’s worth spending extra to get the MSI 4090 so it matches the look of the mother board haha
So is this list a solid build list or is it needing tweaking
Part List - Intel Core i9-14900K, GeForce RTX 4090, Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
So it will deffo fit in the case? Someone said I need a bracket or something
And isn’t the Samsung storage a lot better than the one on the list or does it not matter that much
Sn770 is literally perfect
Samsung is overpriced and would only be justifiable very rarely
I don't even know when it would be
I don't know about that bracket
As far as I can see that should only be a problem with the 420mm aio
not the 360mm which you have
but I am not 100% sure
What about the psu, is it “A class” is there any where that the priced could be reduced at all in terms of case/psu
I could narrow down the price hard
like save 1k +
it would perform around 90%-95% of this build in gaming
but it would perform a small chunk less in productivity
Thats why everyone was saying 7800x3d and 7900xtx
those are much higher price to performance
I’m kind of set on the i9 and 4090 tbh
no problem
As to saving money
Not really
You want that extra headroom for the PSU
😄
Otherwise 1000w would be fine
you want a big case too
5000d airflow is probs good for that
aio is necessary for an i9
Motherboard you want big vrms and a z series board for an i9
You could lower the storage
I chose 2tb like you did
Yes, so you think the PSU is a reliable one and perfect for my build or any better options that don’t cost as much
Let me see
Okay so you think the case is perfect
Yes I’m happy with 2tb storage and brand
And mobo seems like a great choice
It's the cheapest 1200w a tier PSU I found on pcpp
It's hard to save money
tbh
here
Okay so a tier means it’s reliable?
unless you change key components
Safest
Well I’m wondering if I’m spending this much I may as well get the nice silver MSI 4090 OC instead of the rock band one
Go for it
I can add RGB for the aio
And I can change colours of components to white
If needed
Extra £££
It’s not that important just an idea really but would be interested in the job
Let me make a black RGB build and a white RGB
Awesome
Imo
I just realised
That's one of the better looking 4090s
but let me find one more suited to your liking
Part List - Intel Core i9-14900K, GeForce RTX 4090, Corsair iCUE 4000D RGB AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
Black rgb
Not bad
Part List - Intel Core i9-14900K, GeForce RTX 4090, Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower
I reckon if I was going black I would just get the plait version 4090
Will need some for fans for this case
Ye same I just chose an RGB card
Id go for the list you sent b4 mine tbh
The palit card is a stunner if you see it in person
Yeah the pictures make it look really cheap, tbh will probably be under my desk I prefer it out the way usually
May as well get cheaper version but thanks for creating the different lists
Np
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/HPR8mD so this list here is all good to go basically
Part List - Intel Core i9-14900K, GeForce RTX 4090, Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
You’ll need an extra fan or two I forget how many the 5000D comes with. I have the same case. Also, get a contact frame for the 14900K. Just lookup LGA 1700 contact frame
Someone said this about the list?
@worthy junco
So it’s true I need extra fans?
Yes
