So I'm still rocking a 1080ti and struggling with more and more games. Big part of the problem is that I bought 4k monitors back in the day... Now I want to make a new build and would like some advice. I for sure want to ditch 4k for now and go with 1440p but finally higher refresh rate (had 60hz the whole time). I also plan on playing a lot of demanding games like CP77, RDR2 which I couldn't enjoy that much with my current hardware. Not sure if I should really go through with the 4090, really ups the price...
Here is the current list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4Q7sWt

If your budget allows for a 4090, get a 4090

alright thanks. i will have to think about this for a bit i think

#

whats your opinion if i may ask? is a 4090 worth it? sure its more expensive but wont it also be viable for a longer time?

#

where im from the 4090 costs 650 dollars more

but realistically, for most people, that 5-20% performance bump depending on game and Res for like nearly double the cost isn't worth it

after thinking about it for a while i decided to go with the kfa2 4080 super

#

the price for the 4090 is just to high for me to justify the purchase

#

thanks for the help!

I’d even go 4070ti super if you’re doing 1440p

#

4080 super’s still quite overkill
