#PC not turning on after installing new motherboard and cpu.

Don’t use cables on your PSU that didn’t come with your PSU. Because the connector’s pin out on the PSU side of the cable isn’t standardized. So different PSU cables, even within the same brand, could not work at all or even destroy your parts.
I didn’t plug in any new cables I just took out my old motherboard and fit the new one in and put the previous cables into the ports of the tomahawk but still got no power, I think it might be a psu issue it’s only 650 watts and pcpartchecker says all my stuff is 590, but it’s not taking into account extra leds etc… I am going to wait til I get my new case and psu then try again. I have a question though for my new psu I don’t need above 750 watts but I want to make sure I get the correct cables for my mobo for example, it has an 8 pin cpu power port and my current psu only has 4, would you reccomend finding a psu that has 8 pins for that port to fit it perfectly?
Ya especially if you’re overclocking you want to have the full 8 pins providing power for your CPU. But having a 4x4 eps connector is pretty standard. So every psu you look at should have it. What PSU are you using now? And what GPU do you have?
It actually has 2 8 eps pin ports on the mobo 💀💀 my currnt pc is a digital storm previous from like 2018 I got when I was 12 or something, only thing I’ve changed on it is ram I got 32gb ddr4 3200mhz, didn’t realize my mobo and cpu didn’t support that so just decided to go all in and start building a new one piece by piece but I’m realizing it’s a lot easier from a clean slate than from a 6 year old prebuilt, the power supply is some 600 watt high power 7 year old model so I’m just going to get the other 600$ of parts I need, case, psu, cpu cooler, m.2 and use my current 2070 super until I can get a 4070ti super somewhat easier
I saw this psu from Corsair should have the correct cables for my mobo or at lesst@enougj eps cables
Those Corsair rmx PSUs have pretty high ratings. But 850w is a bit overkill. I’d go with the Corsair RM750x: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6NcG3C/corsair-rm750x-2021-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020199-na
I’d get 850 for the future
That makes sense and it’s only $15 more so I’ll prolly go with 850
Sorry if this is a big ask but you have been really helpful so far would you mind glancing at this lis and just letting me know if there would be any errors I should know about? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/

Also, before I get the 4070ti super I’m going to continue using my rtx 2070 super that shouldn’t pose as a problem right?
Oh oops thought I copied the link to my build
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600K, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, NZXT H9 Flow ATX Mid Tower
There we go
No that won't be a problem, and yup that's a solid build 👍
Thanks man I’ll send u a pic once I finish mid feb 😁
