Can't figure out how to get windows back to public release from Windows Insider, Canary channel. I have a Laptop, tried clean reset of windows but it only put sme on my current O/S Build.

You may or may not be able to switch from Canary back to Beta, and then back to Retail. Depending on how far into the Canary channel you are, you may have to clean reinstall Windows.
