#Headphones not recognized or working

are they wireless or wired?
wired, aux cord. bluetooth works, but the connection is bad and cuts out constantly
bluetooth works when connected to airpods ^ not the hesdphones i want to use
well sounds like you have it isolated to your PC. So I would check the wiring in your case. Im assuming that no other headphones work on that port.
My case has a wire that goes to a motherboard header labled HD audio. Im assuming yours would have a simular situation? perhaps just crack open your case panel and see if you can follow a wire going from your port to your motherboard. make sure everything is seated properly
yea i’ll give that a shot right now
awesome! let me know how it goes! If that doesnt work we can probably go into windows and see if the port is even showing. maybe that would give us some clue's
i can’t seem to find any motherboard with a label that says anythign about audio, but i fastened every cable on my motherboard to make sure they were all in properly, still not showing any signs of connection, any ideas? my mobo is the asrock b550 if that helps any.
that does help some. Does it have any other indicators? theres different skews like pro, and steelseries and all that good stuff
sorry, i have no idea why i thought i had a b550, this is the exact motherboard https://pg.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B365 Phantom Gaming 4/index.asp
perfect thanks!
asrock b365 phantom gaming 4^
Kind of hard to see but
that far bottom left header is your front panel audio header. Is there anything connected to that?
omg there’s no way lmaoo, it is plugged in completely wrong, the bottom 5 slots are connected the the top 5 slots on the motherboard, and the top slots on the connecter are not connected to anythign
lmaooo thats probably it XD
there’s like a wifi card above it, can i unplug that to access it easier?
yea that should be fine
You might need to restart your PC to get it to connect again though once you put it back in
do i even need the wifi card if i use wired connection?
mmm some of them do wifi and bluetooth. But if you dont use bluetooth then I dont see any reason to keep it unless you plan on bringing it somewhere else
it also might be a run of the mill wifi card and you dont need it anyways. your call.
i’ll just keep it to be safe
👍
hey, it works great. you are seriously a life saver this has been happening for months. I appreciate you 🙏🏽
no problem! glad we figured it out. (not gonna lie I have my own PC open right next to me to make sure im not feeding ya bogus LMAO)
haha thanks a lot have a good one
