Bringing files from a windows xp to a windows 10/11 pc, is it possible?

Copy them to an external drive

Then install windows 11 and copy them back

Might be slow because of old networking hardware on Windows XP computer

Like a network share?

An external drive would be way easier

Or a secondary internal drive (that is unplugged for windows install because windows sometimes puts the bootloader on a different drive for no reason
