bro we work for free here, we are volunteers you dont need to pay.
first of all:
please list your pc specs
also are you adding this 16 gig kit to ram already in your system or this 16 gig kit is all you have in the system?
I’m trying to put 2 sticks of 8gb but it only works with 1 stick at a time
And that is all I have on the system
whats your specs
oloy isnt on the support list and neither is 3600mhz, the highest speed is actually 2666mhz
my guess would be that it just isnt compatible therefore is unstable with two of those in, only 1 is stable
you can check for yourself oloy isnt on there https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_b460m-ds3h-ac_200322.pdf?v=e0befbd9a57d19c605b2f1f4f6663e6f
Is there anyway around it maybe to run at a lower mhz and having both 16gb of ram?
actually i thought you had an i7 but you have an i5 so the highest speed is actually 2666mhz
putting in new ram already runs at stock speed, it only goes up to the rated speed if you turn on xmp
so no
can i use the ram that came with my pc its 2666mhz 8gb can i put 1 of each
needs to be the same kit, if you put mismatched ram it will also cause your pc not to boot
so if you put the oloy with the one that came with your pc it wont boot
alr thanks
Quick question @lusty hollow does xmp work since my motherboards max is 2666
