Same brand is always great but the pc will boot if you do some random ram

The bios will set the ram speeds to the lowest out of all of them

so most xmp kits of ram often have a slow jedec bin eg 2133/2400 where you can get jedec ram at 3200

#

and just dont expect any mixed xmp to work

Some brands have different controllers and some have different orientations
