is this integrated to your motherboard, as an m.2 card or pcie card?
or a bluetooth dongle?
it isnt a dongle
ok.. so then what is it out of the 4
its been that long since i had my pc built i cant tell you. Any way i can easily find out that answer for you?
either: provide your motherboard model or take a picture of the rear io and side view of pc
motherboard model would be better
BaseBoard Product MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI (MS-7C84)
ok so its integrated. are you windows 10 or 11?
10
ok so you can find and install the latest lan driver here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-X570-TOMAHAWK-WIFI/support#driver
make sure you select windows 10 as operating system first then download this one:
@valid glen
screenshotted wifi by mistake*
doing so
then extract files if its in a zip and then click on the exe to install
done
restart pc then check
btw in the future i would only recommend you download and install new drivers only if you have a issue or is required by a program. updating bios/drivers can break more things than fix them
yeah i havent had the pc on in months due to relocation
i have easydriver and it prompted a bunch of updates
but thats good advice, thanks
restarting now
Still don’t have the option to switch / toggle on Bluetooth
where do you see an option for a toggle? is this in an msi dashboard or something?
sorry, there isnt a toggle
and ran the troubleshooter again and still says i dont have bluetooth on this device
can you take a picture of the side of the pc and the back where the rear io is? taking off the glass panel if you can so there isnt a reflection
damn the inside is really clean. i was thinking maybe you didnt have the antenna on there but you do. try and screw those in more if you can. can you try uninstalling the device in device manager then using the same exe again to install it?
Hah thanks. It’s a clean setup
What’s weird is before I updated drivers I was using my Bluetooth mouse no problem
So I don’t think something is unscrewed / unplugged
ok so then i would just fault software
not really sure, you can try doing sfc /scannow in command prompt as admin and see if it finds anything. it will try to fix it, if it does. other than this im not sure what to try next. ill wait for someone else to comment, see if they can come up with something i overlooked maybe
actually where did you do this install? @valid glen for the driver update?
never used it before, can you check to see if they have a rollback feature of some sort or previous driver version? if not you can check to see if you have a recent system restore point on your pc and roll back to that aswell. just make sure to create a current restore point incase it only makes the problem worse.
yeah ill do that
