check event viewer and look at criticals and errors, it should tell you something. hopefully its not the nvlddmkm issue
umm kinda is that issue

basically its an issue where the gpu drivers install a corrupted version of themselvs and even if you download a new version, it continues to use the old one
no its a gpu issue
whats your gpu?
@sharp marsh
1050 ti
windows 10
i actually discussed this with another guy yesterday because a new solution came up
go to file explorer > windows > system 32 then search for nvlddmkm.sys Then right click it and select properties then security. go through every user and let it have full control. make sure to press apply then restart. play your games and see if the issue occurs again
@sharp marsh
oh okay thanks man ill give it a go
theres 2 of those files under system 32 do i just do it for both??
oh i forgot about that, delete the older one of the two and do the full control thing on the newest one
and i just click on the users one and edit that?
yes all 5, click on the full control box make sure its checkmarked
to easy thanks man
if this doesnt work would it be replacing the gpu resolve it or is it just a windows reinstall?
i also had this issue, a windows reinstall didnt fix it for me. second solution would be to get a freind or have a spare gpu lying around (make sure its nvidia) and put that one in. install those drivers. let it restart when installing. and then switch back to your 1050ti
