Hi, I tried to upgrade from a stock intell cooler on my core i7-7600T to a basic air cooler and now it wont give me any form of display, it just spins the fans and it dosent sound like its rebooting. Ive tried taking everything out and just doing the mobo and cpu, w/o ram and that didnt work. Ive cleaned the cpu, the socket, all the ram and pcie slots with alcohol and still nothing. No other mobo to test cpu no other cpu to test the mobo.... please help, i only have $100 was looking at the XEON E3-1270 V6 or something comparable priced at under $50 and get a more designed and tested coller that works well with my mobo. If no ideas for solutions ideas for parfs also verry much wanted and needed. Minecraft should run at more then 74FPS with a gtx 1660 😆

Make sure you tightened the cooler all the way down until it stops you. If you don't have enough pressure on the cpu it might not boot
Im afraid if i tighten it any more its break something else if not already
The screw mechanism stops you from going further if it's already tight
But what about the mounting hardware, its just plastic bushings
Everything is plugged in tight
We just want to check... Someone said the same response as you and forgot all the cpu power cables so can never be sure.
Fair
If thats the case, what cpu should i get to upgrade to that fits in that socket for under or around $100 thats able to overclock
Ok so, i can confirm cpu is working. Now however a ram slot isnt
It's possible the CPU isn't seated properly
that or not enough pressure which would make some pins not contact
if you have a T based chip, then it makes me think you have one of those dell/hp work/office desktops. you have to check their site. sometimes not all models of the same generation will work since they have their own bios.
Yup, that's my thinking
Ok so i took it out of one of those i bought for school lol
