#Should I go for a i9 12900k or a Ryzen 7 7700x? (My gpu is a 4070)

depends on what you using it for
for my uses case i will pick amd
7700x
and then you overclock
not much
intel
depends
on games and many other things
I'd go 12900k personally
But you need good cooling and stuff
And the games and uses matter too ig
No upgrade path
I'm looking at performance + my use cases are different
I don't need an upgrade path as if I spent that much on a CPU I wouldn't upgrade it anytime soon
would hold on to it for years and years
never heard of someone upgrading from an i9 recently unless 9th or 10th gen
What size of radiator
Upgrading is entirely dependent on the user
That’s not enough
Intel started making big space heaters at 12th gen
Stuck at 10nm, and needing to keep up with AMD’s 7nm and below
They need to pump so much voltage and current though to compensate
Probably not
AMD is better for gaming tbh
Which i9
Hmmmm
Do you plan to upgrade this anytime soon?
I mean after this
Hmmm
I would recommend AMD bc of the new platform staying around for longer
what all do you want to do with it
