Hello,
I am currently in the process of pricing and picking parts for my new build. In hand, I already have a 4090 Suprim X Liquid and an i9 14900k. The case is a Hyte Y70, so any advice, recommendations, and assistance will be appreciated.
At the moment, I am working on picking a motherboard. The current options are: ASUS ROG Strix F Gaming WiFi II, ASUS ROG Strix E Gaming WiFi II, MSI Carbon, or Gigabyte AORUS ELITE X WIFI7. (I do not need the WiFi, as I am hardwired, so that is not a selling point for me). I have checked out the Aorus Master, Master X, and MSI Ace, but they are EATX, and though the Y70 says it can hold EATX, it does not appear as the mobo posts would line up.
Any other recommendations, suggestions, or known pros/cons would be appreciated. The main thing I am looking for in a mobo is that it has all of the necessary plug ins/ports and QoL features (such as clear CMOS, Flash Bios. Error Code Indicator, etc)
As for the PSU, I do not know yet which one I will be getting so any advice would be good, and the same goes for the Storage and Ram. For the Ram I would like to be able to XMP to at least 6800 but would like 7200.
Again, any recommendations, suggestions, or known pros/cons/issues would be appreciated.
For the fans and their placement, any input would be appreciated. My Suprim X has a 240mm rad, so I am running into an issue with the gap that the 240mm rad will cause, mounted on a 360mm rad mount/frame. Is there any way to fill in that extra 120mm spot, aside from just putting a fan in place there, which would still be recessed compared to the rad and its fans.
Current idea for fan placement is: one 120mm, or 140mm if it fits, fan in the rear as exhaust, the 4090's 240mm rad/fans as exhaust at the top of the case, and possibly another 120mm fan to fill the 120mm spot, a 360mm rad/fans for a CPU AIO on the right, middle as intake, and three 120mm or two 140mm fans on the bottom, as intake.
Does this sound correct and sufficient?
Thank you
