I'm building a pc and I don't know what motherboard to get and want some suggestions. It's gonna be with a ryzen 3600 and a rx 5700xt. I don't want to spend more than $100 (the lower the better). I do want one with wifi support and it needs to have at least 1 nvme drive slot. It also doesn't need to be a small motherboard because it's gonna be in a big case.
#Motherboard recommendations for a Ryzen 3600 and RX 5700XT

Good B550 for a potential 5700x3d upgrade, lots of m.2 slots (can convert PCIe to M.2 in the future if needed), wifi
Better bang for buck than buying wifi separate
Oo I'll consider getting that used
I do have a wifi card but I don't know how good it is. And it's hard to find a motherboard with a pcie1x slot above the main slot for the GPU that doesn't already have wifi built in. I don't want to put it below because then it'll obstruct airflow
I think I'll get a b450 as it supports more geneeations
No? They support the same amount of gens?
Some B450 can support 1000 series but some cannot
But this isnt very relevant unless you already have a 1000 series chip you wanna run
1000 series isnt recommended to buy if you dont already have one, they’re considered very slow these days. If you want super cheap buy 2000 series or even 3000 series
Not slow by my standards
I'm currently have a workstation laptop with a 3rd Gen i7 and a Quadro k2000m
Slow relative to price
2000 series has QOL improvements, like an IMC that doesnt go on strike on any ram stick faster than 3000mhz, and native win11 support
For very similar prices to 1000 series
R5 3600 is also like $60 on aliexpress, and is a lot better than 2000 series. I’d really just save up the few extra bucks for that one
I do plan to get a r5 3600 so I'll consider a b550
