I have an asus Zephyrus m16 laptop and whenever I open it, the outside top keys won’t work. Most notably this includes 1-4 and 7-backspace on the top row and the letter P. 5 and 6 work fine. I don’t know if it’s a time or mechanical thing but after spamming one of the keys enough, all of them will start working until the laptop closes again. Thoughts?

I have an asus Zephyrus m16 laptop and whenever I open it, the outside top keys ...
Either one of three things I can think of:
- Someone spilled liquid into the keyboard at some point in the laptop's lifespan.
- Hardware defect with the keyboard or ribbon cable connecting it to the motherboard.
- Some kind of strange software related bug. (Test keyboard on a fresh Windows install, or Live Linux USB.)
