Hi,

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x
GPU: RTX 4070 Ti
RAM: 64GB DDR4 Corsair Vengance RGB 3600Mhz
Motherboard: B550 Tomohawk Max WIFI
Power Supply: Corsair RMe 850w - 80Plus Gold
OS: Windows 11 Pro

My problem is that my fans all start spinning up to the max, which I believe to be the GPU itself because the monitors also go black. The machine is still on but no image is being produced however the issue at the moment doesn't seem to be happening right now and I have reinstalled GPU drivers. This issue also happened after like 2-3 minutes after the machine was booted. But everything seems to be okay right now and if anybody can help give me theories that would be much appreciated. I just don't want to call the GPU going bad but it seems to be the culprit.

I am on the newest NVIDIA drivers 546.33 with no GeForce Experience installed, also my windows is up to date. Also, I am using a 12wvphr cable connected to the GPU directly from the power supply.

The only other idea I have it is that the GPU is drawing too much power than it needs to be.

Thank you

Has this only happened once?

It was a reoccurring issue then it stopped after a while but today yesterday was it's first time happening with this GPU

It still boots up like normal and has been fine for the past day however as of sending this it's continuing to do it again. Monitors turning off and not showing a display though windows is still booted

interestingly enough ive put a new cable in 12vwphr and a new kettle lead testing it, the issue hasnt reoccured yet

i'll keep an eye on it for now because i don't know if it is the PSU potentially going or it's the GPU itself/the cable I was using
