Hi guys! Brand new pc here, had microcenter build it for me less than 3 weeks ago.

It's usually super fast, but this is the second time in a few days span where the computer is super slow, ON STARTUP, to login, open/close apps, type things, etc. Just not snappy and responsive. Anyone have any clue how I can diagnose this? The last time this happened, simply restarting it fixed the issue

Also, I believe both of the times this happened, my 2nd monitor was turned on. (it's always been plugged in to display port, but never in use - aka I only show Display on monitor #1) - could this be related?

Specs:

amd 7800x3d
xfx 7900xt gpu
MSI B650-P Pro Wifi
32gb (16x2) DDR5 RAM (Gskill S5 i think? or X5)
1000w MSI PSU
---------------------------- New shit i have plugged in:
2x HyperX armada 25inch monitors
Edifier Speakers R1280DB
HyperX Quadcast Mic
--------------------------- Shit I have plugged in from my old pc with no issues:
HyperX Cloud headset
Anker Conf200 webcam
Razer Naga Trinity
Crosair K55 Keyboard

It's currently slow as i type this. I've attached a screenshot of what task manager looks like. If there's anything else I should attach while it's still slow, before i restart, please let me know! Boot-up was perfectly fine. But it was slow right at the login page, like a laptop from 2008.

This is the startup app window thing, if it helps

PC was built on Nov 27th, didnt bang it on a wall or anything, all components new

I'm just confused as to why this has happened twice now already. Is it an AMD gpu software thing? I did have a weird GPU failure last week that made my PC seize up...

#

But having it be slow after turning it on, without doing anything, and it still being slow hours later, unless i reboot, is kinda weird

Run HWInfo and check the temperature sensors. Possible overheating?

I figured out the issue! Although I have 2x of the same monitor, the 2nd one was at 60hz while the main was at 240. For whatever reason, that caused the "slow from 2008" issue i was feeling.

#

So i went into HyperX Ngenuity and fixed it, and also turned off GSync , and we're good to go!

Such a simple thing, but such a pain in the ass haha
