Hey there,

I need a bit of help picking between these motherboards, rn I'm going for an ryzen 7600 and rx 6700 xt (temp card) pc build. I've got all my components sorted but stuck on choosing between these motherboards.

My thought process is that because I have a 4k 144hz monitor, I would like to upgrade my GPU and maybe CPU (only if the 7600 wont be able to handle it) later down the line when 4k gaming becomes somewhat affordable.

The problem I have is that I don't know how many CPU power pins I would need to go for so that the motherboard is "futureproof" for the next gen ryzen 7 or the gen after that. Would 8pin be enough or should I go for an 8+4pin or even 8+8 pin like on the Mortar to be on the safe side?

Asrock Pro RS B650M, Msi Pro B650M-A Wifi

Asrock Pro RS B650M has the same 8 pin for cpu power and it will cost me 40 more pounds and time to swap it out

the b650m-a is a good call and I think that is probably what i will get

Doesn’t matter, you won’t need an extra connector, its a 7600, your not making an extreme watercooling loop with a 7950x overclocked to 5.7ghz

yes sorry if i didnt make it clear but if i were to upgrade to a ryzen 7/9 for the next gen do you think i would need more than the 8pin power?
