experiencing terrible stuttering and frame drops in every game i play now

gotten worse since the last time i posted, ive gone through, replaced thermal paste and done everything i can think of but nothing is helping and i have no idea what to do anymore

my mate has a worse rig than me and has no issues so idk whats wrong with mine

hi im having a similar issue to u i think

literally tested it on fortnite and valorant

1. terrible fps in games
2. pc keeps crashing for no reason (i can literally be watching youtube and it crash or just be on spotify or something)
3. i think issue could be due to my cpu but im not too sure. Im getting 20-30% cpu usage on VALORANT and FORTNITE while my gpu usage is at 99% almost everytime (not sure if itd normal)

am using a ryzen 7 5800x with a rtx 3060

have you tried reinstalling windows?

sounds like it might be either your pc is overheating or a file isnt working properly in windows to me

okay so ill describe it like this

ill wake up from an 8 hour slumber, turn on my pc (tests on VALORANT) gets genuinely normal FPS for my pc specs and then BOOM my FPS just dies, immediately drops to 60 and lower after a minute

afterwards thats where all the crashing would happen

checked on performance monitor my cpu is at 90% temp

after a minute on turning on

it sounds like your cpu is overheating really badly to me

had the same issue a few years ago with my old all in one

i mean if you have the money then go for it, but if your cpu cooler is working properly after you apply new thermal paste you shouldnt really need to worry about it too much

okay now without a shadow of a doubt i can confirm its thermal paste, id look into getting new paste on your gpu aswell

look up how to do it though, since im not sure on how to do it at all

i started having issues out of nowhere

i was playing valorant, had 230-300+ fps, dropped to lower than 60 fps out of nowhere

and thats when issues started arising

ok so decided to play a little roblox to test my pc and i cannot believe the fps is max 20 and it just crashed again

but on hwmonitor my temp was 66 degree for cpu and 89 for gpu is that normal or nah
