Need opinions with everything (1.2k USD capped build)

slim lake
#

how much storage do you want

sturdy smelt
#

I have my ssd and harddrive here already

ionic shuttle
#

Does blender need a stronger CPU or GPU?

#

Gaming wise- the Ryzen 7600X performs pretty much the same for a little cheaper. What parts do you already have if you wanted a "full" build modelled on pcpartpicker?

sturdy smelt
#

current idea:
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 EAGLE OC 8GB GDDR6 128-bit DLSS 3.0 (Gboard)
AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5GHz (Processor)
AQIRYS Antares ARGB (Case)
G.SKILL Flare X5 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (Mem)
be quiet! Pure Rock 2 FX Black (CPU Cooler)
Seasonic G12 GM-850, 80+ Gold, 850W (Power Supply)
MSI PRO B650-S WIFI (Mboard)
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M.2 PCIe (MZ-V7S1T0BW) (SSD)

slim lake
#

get a 7700 instead of a 7700x, unless the price is really close

sturdy smelt
#

20 dolla diff

slim lake
#

do they both have a stock cooler?

sturdy smelt
#

I'll use the one listed

slim lake
#

what country are you in?

#

bc the thermalright peerless assassin is cheaper than that with a 250w TDP

sturdy smelt
#

its cheaper where I live too

#

I'll see the cost on the sites I'll use when black friday is happening (they're down for now)

sturdy smelt
#

though I have concerns that itll block the ram slots

slim lake
#

if you get something like flare ddr5, itll be fine

#

there's a cutout for ram clearance

sturdy smelt
slim lake
#

cl40 is bad

#

get 6000 cl30

sturdy smelt
#

those uh

#

won't fit in my budget

slim lake
#

how much is the ram you want to get

sturdy smelt
#

80 usd maybe less on a diff website

slim lake
#

and what country do you live in

sturdy smelt
#

uhh

#

let's say I live in romania

slim lake
#

oh, and what is your budget

sturdy smelt
#

1k-1.2k

slim lake
#

oh.....

#

6000 cl30 ram would be a big improvement on am5

sturdy smelt
#

it costs double and goes over budget
augh

slim lake
#

wow

sturdy smelt
slim lake
#

a 7600 would fit in your budget better

sturdy smelt
#

AMD Ryzen 5 7600?

slim lake
#

yes

sturdy smelt
#

hm
costs like 170 usd less so maybe

#

still pairs well with the 4060 tho rite

slim lake
#

yeah

#

for gaming, the 7600 and 7700 are basically the same

sturdy smelt
#

so uhh with that in mind this is the new build

  • GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 EAGLE OC 8GB GDDR6 128-bit DLSS 3.0 (Gboard)
  • AMD Ryzen 7 7600 (Processor w/Cooler)
  • montech air 903 max (Case)
  • G.SKILL Flare X5 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (I think ik where to find it) (Mem)
  • thermalright peerless assassin unneeded (CPU Cooler)
  • Seasonic G12 GM-850, 80+ Gold, 850W (Power Supply)
  • MSI PRO B650-S WIFI (Mboard)
  • SSD Crucial P5 Plus 1TB PCI Express 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 (SSD)
slim lake
#

im guessing the montech air 903 is not available in your country?

sturdy smelt
#

I can search

#

these filters don't look like they have mesh

#

or are the screenshots just not showin em

slim lake
#

what screenshots

sturdy smelt
#

to me the filters look like plastic with holes, like is there any mesh or smth

#

like are they mesh

slim lake
#

there's no mesh, but the front panel is sort of a mesh

sturdy smelt
#

I'm kinda stupid I'll just look at a review lol

#

ok wth that case is a beast thank you for recommending it

slim lake
#

is it cheaper?

sturdy smelt
#

no its like 20 dollars more but the 7600 saves me like 150 usd so its fine

#

btw did u mean 7600 or 7600x?

slim lake
#

7600

#

theyre basically the same

sturdy smelt
slim lake
#

yes

sturdy smelt
#

sorry that I'm so sluggish with this

slim lake
#

its ok

slim lake
#

the max gives you an extra fan and a fan hub

sturdy smelt
#

the case

#

?

slim lake
#

yeah

#

the 903 max

sturdy smelt
#

ait

#

any other recommendations ?

slim lake
#

cl30 ram if you can fit it in your budget

sturdy smelt
#

I included what you linked me

slim lake
#

oh you just didnt say cl30

sturdy smelt
#

I just copeid the name lol

slim lake
#

ohh ok

sturdy smelt
#

if thas it then thanks alot

ionic shuttle
slim lake
#

cap

slim lake
#

wraith prism rgb cooler included

#

but anyway, the 7600 also has a stock cooler

ionic shuttle
#

Really? I thought they dropped providing coolers prior to AM5

#

Guess you learn something new every day

slim lake
#

oh you did

#

nvm

sturdy smelt
#

oh btw can u link me to the exact uhh

#

cpu cooler

slim lake
#

what?

sturdy smelt
#

thermalright peerless assassin

slim lake
#

you dont need it

#

the 7600 has a sufficent cooler

sturdy smelt
#

oh

slim lake
#

if you arent satisfied, you can buy it later

#

but better to save some money

sturdy smelt
#

I likely wont upgrade for like half a decade, maybe a full one

#

I think I can fit it in the 1.2k usd budget

slim lake
#

save it for an upgrade imo

sturdy smelt
#

would it be better for cooling though

#

like uhh the most demanding games I think I'll play (for now) are gtfo, deep rock galactic and rust

slim lake
#

as i said, if you arent satisfied, you can get an aftermarket cooler

#

but at least try the stock one

sturdy smelt
#

you rite

#

btw are there multiple 7600 versions or is the 3.8ghz the only one?

#

just so I don't note down the wrong one

ionic shuttle
sturdy smelt
#

ait

sturdy smelt
#

btw (if you're still here) do u happen to know a better 4060 manufacturer

slim lake
sturdy smelt
#

I feel as if some of them can have reliability issues though

slim lake
#

Not to my knowledge

sturdy smelt
#

Ok I'll have to browse

#

I'll likely go for the same specs tho

#

nvm this one I chose is already the cheapest lmao

ionic shuttle
#

How do you feel about this? for $1209 USD you could also upgrade to a amd 7700xt, which performs a bit better than the 4060ti

#

(Changed motherboard due to original not having a price)

upbeat garden
sturdy smelt
#

most demanding games would be rust/gtfo/drg

ionic shuttle
#

1080P?

sturdy smelt
#

yeah

#

I'll probably move onto more demanding stuff sometime

ionic shuttle
#

Ok, then the 4060ti/ 7700xt would perform very well for that

sturdy smelt
#

I think I'm satisfied with this list

ionic shuttle
#

Ok, but the 4060ti build is also under the $1200 budget. Just thought I'd point it out. Same case, same RAM, faster SSD for cheaper (not a big difference for gaming really) I picked a 750W psu since that should perfectly fine ( I run one with a 7700x and 4070ti)

upbeat garden
#

No ssds i think u said u had ssds already

#

I would rather get 7800 xt but 4070 will be way better in blender

sturdy smelt
#

also the cpu comes with a cooler

upbeat garden
#

Yes but wraith prism is loud and the cpu will boost more with this cooler

#

Worth the 18 bucks imo

sturdy smelt
#

wait wtf 18 bucks

#

?

upbeat garden
#

Thats normal price for assasin x

#

You can also use se-214-xt / 224-xt / ag400

#

Out of these ag400 would be best but its 22 dollars and pretty minor difference

upbeat garden
sturdy smelt
#

o yeah no case is enough for aesthetics

sturdy smelt
upbeat garden
#

Why not

#

Shipping of 7800 xt takes too long?

sturdy smelt
#

the cost

upbeat garden
#

7800 xt is 499

sturdy smelt
#

thats 130 dollars more, I can't pay that extra

#

I've seen that the motherboard (MSI PRO B650-S WIFI) has some issues by looking at reviews, any ideas on alternatives?

sturdy smelt
#

Nvm I didnt click on the latest link I suck

sturdy smelt
#

Need opinions with motherboard

sturdy smelt
#

[LIMITED TIME] Need opinions with motherboard

#

I'm really limited, it's almost opening time I think

ionic shuttle
ionic shuttle
#

Alright: PRO B650M-A WIFI uses a different chipset, no multi GPU support, no rear USB-C, 1 less internal fan header (3 vs 4), seems it also has M-flash for BIOS updating

#

Not a bad motherboard by any means though

sturdy smelt
#

thanks for the help

#

I finished the build and got all the parts under 1.2k
