#Corrupt Bios HP prebuilt

Hey,

One of my friends has corrupted his BIOS, I have tried fixing it but i have not succeeded yet. (Errors included in images)

I have tried the following

  • Restarting 6362 times
  • Resetting the BIOS A ton, It gives the error that it doesnt have recovery files so:
  • I made a USB stick with recovery files (from the HP site), even if resetting the BIOS it still wont work.

Im clueless, does anyone have solution?

If literally nothing seems to work, then there really isn't much that can be done. Both HP and Dell motherboards are actual nightmares to deal with.

How big is the chance that another stick will work?

You just gotta try it.

Right now it behaves as though it can't read the USB stick correctly, either because it's sensitive to whether the stick is USB 2.0 or 3.0... Could be the stick is just crap.

It's the worst motherboard I've seen since I have been born, might it be that the usb stick is 3.0 and the ports are 2.0

You would probably have to try a USB 2.0 stick instead.

A lot of mobos with BIOS flashback / Q-Flash need a 2.0 stick

Considering it's an HP mobo, chances are it just doesn't like 3.0 :P

HP Stated that it should be 32GB or mroe

Although, when I did the USB stuff, it only took up like 200MB, so would 16GB work too?

Then it falls back to USB compatibility issues.

Did u try the usb2 in different ports? I had this issue with an hp prebuilt years ago and it needed a specific port.

Are you able give a model number of his system? Some Omen systems are fitted with standard formfactor components, so he may only need a replacement motherboard to get the system operational again.
