I'm currently facing a perplexing challenge with my computer. Despite my best efforts, I've been unable to resolve the persistent issue of mouse lag. What's even more confounding is the emergence of a new problem: my screen intermittently goes black while the audio continues, resulting in a complete loss of video output. To address this, I've resorted to the somewhat cumbersome process of shutting down and restarting my computer. Furthermore, my AMD Software has become unreliable and seems to break periodically, necessitating the use of Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) for reinstallation. These recurring problems have left me wondering if the issue may be related to power supply, as I've noticed a breaker exhibiting signs of failure. I've conducted a Windows memory diagnostic, which returned clear results, adding another layer of complexity to this conundrum. It's a genuine puzzle, and I'd greatly appreciate any insights or assistance.
#I am Stumped with this PC Issue

I have been having a similar issue with my displays going black while my audio continues for almost a year now... I literally just poseted a thread about it 3 minutes ago.
it started out as my mouse is like laggy like the mouse freezes on screen for a second and keeps doing that for like 30 seconds
What mouse do you have?
G305
Hmm I have a Razer Basalisk v3 pro. I had a similar issue when I got it I resolved it by changing the polling rate from 4000 to 1000 which is a lame fix but it worked. I was just wondering though to see if we had any matching components.
I'm hoping you will have better luck resolving your issue which im sure you will because I have tried almost everything and I'm about ready to go back to console 😂.
lol i built this computer myself and have learn tons and im confident in my computer skills just this i have never heard of idk if its a AMD Software issue or a new Windows update issue or its hardware idk im stumped
Wireless I take it?
yup
Are you using the Bluetooth? Or the 2.4ghz dongle
dongle
Yup I have built multiple pc's but have never come across this issue(black screen). and all of my googling/researching has mostly resulted in people saying faulty power supplies but I got a brand new power supply way over spec and the issue persists.
im thinking also it could be my usb's are failing i have wireless headphones and they sometimes cut out too
Also idk if it has regular Bluetooth but unplug the dongle switch Bluetooth on and test it
i dont have bluetooth with this mobo
If you think that, swap a port out with the keyboard and also check
Does it lag when the cord is plugged into the mouse?
ya idk my biggest concern right now tho is the black screen audio continues and then i have to restart my computer and then my AMD drivers stop working
there is no cord to plug into the mouse
Driver issue
Oh also I have intel.
im forced to reinstall the drivers everytime it does this
AMD is NOTORIOUS for driver issues, roll them back a version.
Install an older set of drivers
thats eaiser said than done LOL
Gpu?
RX6800XT
Windows 10 or 11
11
August set of drivers
But the mouse, idk tbh I’m stumped lol
Only thing I can say is swap the mouse and keyboard usbs around and see if the keyboard starts to lag and if so it might be usb issues
Im on mobile now just crashed again
Hmmm
Ima try rolling back windows update too
Okay I have Progress I did Roll back my Graphic's Driver and when it did blackscreen it did not fully brake my drivers so i have some progress but its still black screening idk why
Issue fixed pluged my display port into a different port and its working
Plugged into a different display port on the gpu or monitor?
Hey @rotund mist what mother board do you have?
I had a weird issue with (wireless) mouse lagging for no apparent reason. Turns out that my WiFi router was positioned very close to my computer and my mouse and it was somehow causing interference. I moved the router to the other corner of the room and it was fixed.
The razer siren x has issues when the router is placed close to the mic, so it doesn’t not surprise me
Yeah. Mine's Logitech G304 and that happened.
Odd lol
