☝️ put a photo just so my thread looks nice, but it doesn't actually mean anything nor matter lol
It’s probably better to buy all the parts then pay a local shop or something to build and set it up for you

Kind of parts I’d expect in a $800 build
And it’s $1150
Not even ddr5
Yeah prebuilts suck
Has a bomb inside aswell

that wont work because his job wont expense it out for him
Okay
this seems not bad
how about in comparison to these 2 @serene blade
What the hell is an Intel Core i5-143400F
no clue, im a ryzen guy
Does getting a custom built PC from microcenter work?
They do offer a build service, so you can get all the parts custom and have them assembled for you, all in one invoice
Dont know about shipping though
Maingear seems to be better on the CPU side of things, but ZTT seems to be the better overall system
possibly 🤔 would that be any different of from buying a prebuilt?
itd have to be shipped heh, theres no MC in my state
Kind of, since you’re choosing the parts yourself (based on what microcenter has available)
wait this gives me an idea, what if i bought all the parts and then charged him via paypal or something lol
ill have to ask him to ask his manager
@serene blade @quaint blaze ok, might be able to work something out where IM the one selling a prebuilt to him, and it could still get approved as an expense lol, so now ive got this built out but have $150 more of wiggle room to get it to that 1200 budget.....
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6800, Thermaltake Versa H18 MicroATX Mini Tower
Why so much thermalpaste?
How about this instead? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t3j6QP
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6800, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
maybe they think it's delicious for a midnight snack
anyways, either list is pretty good but i'd grab a CPU cooler and an extra TB on storage
Don’t buy a cooler if your cpu comes with one. At least try the stock cooler
why no cooler? seems to be mixed recommendations
because if you get a free cooler, you may as well use it. if you decide later that you want an aftermarket cooler, you can always buy one
think the wraith prism is good enough?
The 7600 will be a stealth cooler I believe
But whatever cooler it has will be sufficient for normal tasks
I think so
been so long since i installed my 3700x i dont even remember lol
If you do decide to buy a cooler, I’d recommend the Thermalright peerless assassin 120. It’s a 250w cooler that can cool any ryzen processor
its actually on my modified list
≈$34
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 4070, Thermaltake Versa H18 MicroATX Mini Tower
thats it so far after adjustments
gaming and work, but hes an accountant lol
so prob not any stuff like heavy photoshop, lightroom, davinci resolve, etc
mostly gaming 😛
Will there be any point that the cpu will be stressed hard?
If not than there’s no reason to buy an aftermarket cooler
prob not
ill save a lil bread on not getting a better cooler
i should probably get one for me though since i DO use software like photoshop, lightroom, davinci resolve, etc lol
but i dont wanna switch to an AIO and i like the appearance of the wraith prism cooler fan pointed up at me with its rgb lol
It is technically not needed since the cpu would just throttle down in worst case scenario. But it’s 20 bucks, ensures that this never happens, and saves you the time of having to remove the cooler and cleaning the old paste when you do change it
If you have the budget, there is no reason not to go for it. The only reason for stock cooler is if you’re on a tight budget or if you need a low profile cooler.
I wish there were more attractive coolers, they're all ugly except AIO to me
