XMP Profile 1 does not work when set, but profile 2 does.
I have tried:
-updating the bios To Fdb (08/10/23) it did not work before bios update either.
-Manually overclocking to 3600,3200, and 3000mhz
-Reseating my RAM to see if it made a difference

I have had this problem since I built my pc back in May of this year, I would like Someone else's brain on this before I go out buying any new parts for my system as I am not experienced in overclocking, thank you.

My Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (Rev 1.4)
RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL17 Memory
GPU: MSI GAMING X Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB Video Card
PSU: MSI MAG A650BN 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

No it posts, but inside cpu-z it shows its running at base unclocked speeds

#

Whereas xmp profile 1 runs at the designated 3000mhz

#

My mobo and cpu support those speeds aswell

#

I'm going to boot up the system and show you the cpu-z when I have profile 1 and 2 on aswell

#

Profile 1

#

Profile 2

#

it posts fine on profile 1 but it doesnt seem to save the timings

It honestly does seem like it's defaulting to JEDEC, as in it's not able to boot with XMP1

#

Your RAM isn't on the QVL either

qvl?

does that mean that getting new ram inside that qvl list would probably eliminate this issue?

It's not exactly a bible since realistically motherboard manufacturers aren't able to test every single kit and configuration out there.

#

But the fact that not even "sibling models" appear on the QVL is a pretty bad sign when it comes to compatibility.

But it's not a 100% guarantee since you know...

#

Can't rule out all the variables.

alright then i was going to upgrade my ram anyways to 32gbs but didnt want to before i knew that this was a ram issue or not. i believed it was as i always saw it as defect.
thank you for the help

Np. Hopefully the new kit will function fine.
