currently prices for both of these cards are basically the same, however what differences do the 3060 12 gb and 4060 8 gb have? wouldn't the 4060 be better in the case because it's newer? does the 4 gb vram matter that much?

pls answer

I have a 4060 that I recently bought and noticed a huge difference between 20 to 30-series, and 30 to 40-series. But it matters on the games, if you wanna play textures and renders on the max etc. then I'd say get a card with more VRAM, but if you want better graphical rendering and looks while taking it down a tad on the texture quality then go for the 4060. Mind you that some games have outdated graphics APIs so the 3060 could be a better choice for a game such as BeamNG.Drive, but some games support the Vulkan renderer now as an alternative so that would not pose a problem over outdated APIs.

4060 is slightly better perf wise

#

8gb vram wont be an issue at 1080p just yet so i wouldnt worry, unless the aim is higher res gaming

Though if you dont need nvidia features, it’s hard to argue with the 6700XT/6750XT
