Hi, I have been loooking into building a new computer lately, i have had my last one for maybe 6/7 years now, i first built it with a low budget in mind, but now i want to be able to future proof my setup.

I'm willing to spend around £2500/3000.

What i want from the PC:
Cool RGB(this is honestly a joke but it would definitely be niceKEKW )
Future proof GPU/CPU(Intel and Nvidia pls <3)
Water Cooled CPU
I also use it for my work, with a lot of productivity tasks in mind.
I would like it to also be solely ran of ssd/NVMe(I want to set up a media server on my current old machine)
DDR5
Gen 4.0 is fine for the NVMe.

If any is willing to help me i would be very grateful. Any questions for me i will get back to you as quickly as possible, TiA.

First of all, futureproofing is a lie

quick scarab
#

i know 😦

crude remnant
#

Second, how watercooled do you want it. full custom? cpu + gpu?

quick scarab
#

Simple AIO set up is fine

#

on cpu only

#

air cooled GPU is totally fine

crude remnant
#

oh ok

#

that makes things a lot simpler

quick scarab
#

Yeah i'm not willing to make a custome loop

#

Helped a friend once and god it was tedious

crude remnant
#

lol yeah

#

also, what country do you live in and whats the color scheme

quick scarab
#

United Kingdom(Northern Ireland)
Colour Scheme is most likely just going to be white, i have all black perirhinal that are all old so i want to change them to nice white stuff, but i dont want to include that in the final price

crude remnant
#

alr

#

and assuming you want to "futureproof", ddr5 ram is obvious. what capacity?

quick scarab
#

32/64

#

32 is fine honestly

crude remnant
#

we'll see how it goes

#

how much storage do you want?

quick scarab
#

I was looking at possibly running 2TB NVMe and then just upgrading that later, games are way to big now adays

#

depending on the mother board, i was thinking possibly just 4TB of NVMe then suplusing that with a SATA SSD in the event things get really bad some how

crude remnant
#

how about a 500GB ssd for your OS and a 2TB for games. with a lot of motherboards, you can fit 4 m.2's.

quick scarab
#

That would be great!

crude remnant
#

any particular case preference? also, is there a certain type of ram you like the look of

quick scarab
#

Possibly a Lian Li one, 011D maybe ?

#

and the ram

#

umm honestly no preference

crude remnant
quick scarab
#

Yeah

crude remnant
#

what psu wattage do you want?

quick scarab
#

ummm well as you know need to power the minimum requirement, but on a side note gold standard efficiency, i assume it might need to be 850 ?

quick scarab
#

Sounds good

wispy tundra
#

For 850w how about the Adata XPG core Reactor 850w

#

Or the Gigabyte UD1000GM PG5 for 1000w

quick scarab
quick scarab
crude remnant
#

hmmm 4080 or 4090

quick scarab
#

4080

crude remnant
#

do you want it to be white?

quick scarab
#

not very pressed on that one

#

it is a massive white tax on gpu's

#

im ok with it being pink as long as it's a 4080

wispy tundra
#

With £3000 you could probably get a 4090

crude remnant
#

yeah you could

quick scarab
#

This actually looks great

crude remnant
#

you could fit a 4090, and possibly squeeze a 13900k in

quick scarab
#

Dang thanks, in regards to fans would i need to buy more for this case ?

crude remnant
#

oh

#

you'd need to buy them all actually

quick scarab
#

any recomendations ?

crude remnant
#

i would say the arctic p12 pwm's, but they don't really seem to be available in white/rgb in the uk

wispy tundra
#

Thermalright TL-C12CW-S

#

They come in packs of 3 ( ~£13 ) or individually ( ~£5 )

#

Pwm, argb, daisy chainable

quick scarab
#

come to think of i dont even know how many fans are in this case

crude remnant
#

there arent any

quick scarab
#

no as in how many is needed for the case**

wispy tundra
#

What are you using this build for btw?

crude remnant
quick scarab
#

Gaming/Recording with 4K stuff planned but i atm i dont have the monitors to support it this is all being planeed for christmas

wispy tundra
#

Okay

#

iirc 14th gen intel should be launching this month

crude remnant
#

13th gen overclocked

wispy tundra
#

Pretty sure it’s a 15% performance boost

#

Some leaks say 3% others say 15%

#

Best to wait until theres some reviews out

crude remnant
#

come to think of it, most aio's come with fans, so if you got a 3 pack of fans, 6 would be quite enough

#

(including the one i speced)

quick scarab
#

Yeah, maybe waiting for intel 14th gen to be realsed to see hw they perform is the best shout

#

the rest can be bought prior

crude remnant
#

i'd say buy everything close to the same time

quick scarab
#

Yeah, alright thank you very much guys. if i run into any other issues i will make another post. 🙂

wispy tundra
#

I noticed the UD1000GM PG5 was pretty expensive

#

And the LS720 wh was cheaper
