its most likely a setting you may of fucked up
1 sec
go to power and sleep settings
and check
lmk if it doesnt work
I haven't touched power settings for a long time
I set it when I installed windows and never touched it after
.
Sounds like a screen position sesor is messed up. Run a magnet along the permiter of your laptop and screen to see where the sensor is located.
Sorry for late response but funny thing is I went and got a magnet but before I used it I just made sure the problem still was persistent. So when I closed the lid it did go to sleep now...
I didn't even use the magnet
It got scared lmao
@long citrus more specifically whenever my laptop is plugged in it doesn't react to lid being closed but it does when unplugged
Oh. Your power plan is set to do nothing when the lid closes.
Maybe your laptop is set to ignore the lid sleep sensor when it is on AC power?
how do I check that
Might be a BIOS setting
