#I come back to the bios screen

Over the last few weeks I have, on 3 separate occasions, come back to my pc displaying the bios screen, having left it on the desk top at idle. A quick examination of the bios screen shows that everything is still normal, however, it no longer shows my SSD/boot drive. On the first 2 occasions I attempted to restart the PC only for it to load back into the bios and show no drive, I flashed the bios on both occasions and randomly the drive showed up. On the third occasion I turned the PC off out of frustration, a day later I turned it back on w/o flashing the bios and the drive again was found.

Current set up is a Ryzen 5600x, Aorus B550i pro, Aorus gen4 m.2 ssd.

Any ideas? Could it just be a shit M.2? Maybe the m.2 is over heating (is that possible?). Open to ideas, thanks in advance

CrystalDiskMark can also give you some results on how the drive is performing but the way you've described it, it does sound like either the drive is on it's way out or there's a problem with the motherboard itself.

So I’ve attempted this a few times, I’ve been able to load into the OS after again flashing the bios, the system runs for a few minutes and then blue screens with a whea_uncorrectable_error, restarts and loads into the bios where it dose not see the boot drive again. I’m guessing the SSD is toast? Or perhaps the MB?

Yeaaah... That sounds like SSD issue.

Motherboard seems less likely to be the culprit here.
