#How to check the compatibility of a graphic card with my PC?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
All gpus are “compatible” with all motherboards
It’s just a matter of slotting it in, and installing the drivers
I find that statement hard to believe, but if RTX 4070 Ti is compatible with my build, then thats all I need to know lol
Make sure it wont bottleneck other components
how do I check that @slim agate ?
If you have a really old CPU and a high end gpu you wont get the performance your paying for
Whats your specs
no worries
Nvm then it’s compatible
Nah
okay nice
yea didnt read what cpu yoy had in the title
secondly, can I order a GPU from any make right? like if I search RTX 4070 Ti on Amazon, I get a lot of vendors like Asus, MSI etc
I am pretty unfamiliar with how to choose one, or if I can blindly go with any
it depends on what gpu model you get
I want RTX 4070 Ti
From which manufacturer
how to decide that hehe
Yea, most of the time the same gpus come with different ram and fans
and some are completely different cooling systems but those cost like 2x more than the regular model
ohhh
send a picture of the 4070 your tryna get
okay sure hold on
Powered by NVIDIA DLSS 3 NVIDIA Ada Lovelace Streaming Multiprocessors: Up to 2x performance and power efficiency 4th Generation Tensor Cores: Up to 2x AI performance 3rd Generation RT Cores: Up to 2x ray tracing performance Powered by GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB Integrated with 12GB GDDR6X 192-bit ...
lets say this one
Thats a good pick
If your tryna go for that one id say do it
It has 12gb of ram which is solid
okay, what exactly is good in this one, like how do you say its a good graphic card unit
It mostly comes down to preference, like the more gigs it has the better it’ll preform,
Any newer graphics card is good already, but if you want to spend more for more power usage
I see
Honestly i cant really say the exact things that make the higher gpu better
the thing is there are other variants which are slightly higher in pricing from Gigabyte only, but I am not sure what is different in them
But the one you chose from gigabyte is solid as it is
GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX™ 4070 Ti ELITE 12G, Powered by NVIDIA DLSS 3, ultra-efficient Ada Lovelace arch, and full ray tracing, 4th Generation Tensor Cores: Up to 4x performance with DLSS 3 vs. brute-force rendering, 3rd Generation RT Cores: Up to 2X ray tracing performance, Powered by GeForce ...
It mostly comes down to design
So if you want a custom build gpu with its own liquid cooling system its gonna cost more, the thing you should keep in mind when buying gpus is how much gigs it has
ahh I see I see
yeah I think gigs is a good judgement metric
the thing you said about its own liquid cooling system, it sounds pretty interesting
hmm, I am not sure if I should go for the 40x series or 30x ones
because 30x are a lot cheaper
yea if you wanna future proof id go with 40s but if you wanna get a 30s id go with a 3080
You can always upgrade whenever
I see
hmm, will go with 4070 ti only then
its probably a bit overpriced rn, but eh
it always is
Why is that hard to believe
why in 1080p? oh because the GPU won't be used much?
I mean usually we have to check a lot of compatibility stuff right
Use pcpartbuilder
It will tell if it compatible
you mean pcpartpicker?
checking
this is my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DCFRvj
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700G, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, Lian Li Lancool II Mesh ATX Mid Tower
it says the cpu and the cooler is incompatible lmao
I am using it for more than a year now
Correct
No it doesn’t
No, it’s compatible
With the compatibility filter on, you can’t select incompatible ram
oh nvm
ohh I see
got it, so my parts are all compatible then, nice
I will get 4070 ti
