#I just replaced my PSU (only the unit not the cables) after it fried

When my pc power cable is unplugged it still happens
When I unplug my 2 displayport plugs it stops
When my displayport plugs are unplugged and the power cable is plugged it also happens
So either with displayport or power cable plugged in
Its normal, its ungrounded.
Isnt it supposed to be grounded tho?
I think the PC might be grounded but a device connected is not, like the monitor, everything should be shielded well enough that you don't need it to be grounded
However it could be a bad sign incase you get a power surge at some point depending how modern your house electricity is
But even then your house breaker should just trip
so its probably not a concern, nothing is at risk
modular psu?
full modular yes
the house was built 4 years ago so i would say its pretty modern
using the cables that came with it?
yes, then a week ago i had to replace the psu with warranty bc it fried, i got the same model and i used the cables of the old fried psu since they were already cable managed in my case, i did not use new cables
i didnt get those, since i also did not send the old cables back
hm
besides, i only feel this current when i touch one particular jack cable, i dont feel the current when i let go and touch anything else thats grounded etc
and i only feel the current in the finger thats touching the cable
so it might not be my case
It should be fine then
if any surge comes it'll just trip the breaker anyway
and my psu will survive?
not feeling like going through the warranty process again
